The best hotel in Iisalmi is Koljonvirta. Great staff and food and drink. Parking is included and 240 volt charging is required. Having a view of the main street does not make up for the sounds from passing cars. There is no air conditioning in the room, so sleeping is impossible on a hot day and open the window.

The breakfast room was ok and the selection was normal as this hotel is a larger chain. Parking is conveniently located behind the hotel without a charge. Could be nice, but only in the cool weather. This hotel building is, for starters, very old, so there are certain tricks you must learn. The layout is quite complicated, you walk along hallways and eventually discover your room door. Second, the building doesn't have sufficient air conditioning, so you have to open the windows open at night. It's a big mistake. If your room is on the side of the street, there is a lot of noise from the street and you can't sleep unless you're loaded with alcohol. Not advised. We reserved a larger room which was lovely and modern and had a large bathroom, even with a tub. The breakfast room was fine, and the selection was normal because this hotel is a member of a larger chain. Parking is accessible outside the hotel for no additional cost. This might be nice, but just during the cooler weather.

Overall, my stay was excellent, and I can strongly advise the hotel to all visitors to Iisalmi. I was traveling through Iisalmi and stayed at the solos hotel koljonvirta. It was a top choice for me as a member of the solos hotel group. I drove to the hotel, and there was a free parking space in the back yard. You can go directly to the hotel reception from the parking area. Checking was quick, and the service was pleasant. My room was roomy, and the vista was across the main road of Iisalmi. I didn't hear any noise from traffic, though. The hotel doesn't have a pool, but there is a nice sauna area on the top floor. There are separate sauna areas for men and women in the hotel. Breakfast was straightforward. Nothing special, but it contained simple scandinavian breakfast ingredients.

This hotel is located in the city's center, so it's an excellent location. The receptionist was quite happy. The hotel staff was polite. There are two negative things about this place, the size of the room and the bathroom. The price was quite expensive given the location. The hotel is tidy and the personnel were friendly. The restaurant is also very good, there is an excellent Irish pub open till 12 am. The wifi connection in the room is included in the fee. The room size was also large, the bathroom was very good.
