It was a wonderful pleasure to stay at Auberge Ostape. Our only regret is that we only stayed two nights. It is hard to get to and incredibly worthwhile once you get there. The staff is most gracious and the restaurant is extraordinary. We hope to return.

Wow, what a gem of a place in the Basque mountains! We expected this place to be good based on ratings and reviews, but it far exceeded our expectations. Food, wine, service, views and general accomodation — this was all amazing. Highly recommended!

From the moment we entered Auberge Ostape, we were treated with the utmost in hospitality. The staff were welcoming and so helpful, the rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed, the restaurant's food was spectacular and the views everywhere were beyond beautiful. The hotel is out in middle of nowhere and offers the most in tranquility. We were only there for a one night stay but it was enough to recharge our batteries and make us feel as if we'd been on an amazing retreat. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Deuxième séjour à Ostapé et toujours un immense plaisir de couper du monde dans ce petit coin de paradis. Les chambres sont calmes et incitent à la détente, le site est tout simplement splendide car naturellement beau. L'équipe est adorable et la visite nouvelle de la collection privée est à voir pour tous les Porschistes ! Petits bémols pour cette deuxième : cafouillage à l'accueil (l'interphone ne fonctionnait pas), la chambre était moins bien que l'année dernière (sur 2 niveaux desquels nous avons moins profités et la vue était moins belle, tout ceci pour le même prix), pas de service à la piscine donc impossibilité de prendre une boisson fraiche et service très long au restaurant (toujours pas d'entrée une heure après). Nous avons une fois de plus énormément apprécié et nous y retournerons avec plaisir!

Bon accueil avec beaucoup de gentillesse. les déplacements par voiturettes électriques au sein de l'établissement sont aisées et contribuent amplement à faire de ce lieu un havre de paix et de silence. Les suites sont très belles et confortables. le restaurant est excellent et les prix y sont corrects.

We checked out early from a horrible hotel in lourdes because it was at the last minute. The staff went above and beyond for us to ensure our comfort. We were treated with warmth! The accommodation was lovely, the setting was breathtaking, and the cuisine was excellent. Since we are all gluten-free, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we were taken care of. The fact that the pool did not offer drinks, that the gym required a bit of old machines, and that there were no weights are my two unintentional criticisms. Nevertheless, it was only my husband and son that performed weights, so we made up for this by swimming well and going for a lengthy hike up a steep slope, so they were happy!.

This hotel provides incredible views of the Basque country and is easily accessible by golf buggy. However, the hotel is not up to par for a 5 star hotel. Unfortunately, the pool area is let down by its appearance and lack of additional amenities, such as a gym and spa. We reserved a very spacious junior suite with a living area and a couple's bathroom with shower and bath. Although it is part of one of the lovely chalet buildings, sadly, there was no view of the scenery. The pool and dining area both offer breathtaking views. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and we appreciated the call to ask if we wanted to book dinner at their restaurant prior to our arrival. The restaurant provided excellent food, and the staff was always extremely competent. Given the quality of lunch and dinner, the breakfast continental buffet was fairly subpar, with limited fresh fruit, pastry, meat, and cheese options, which was surprising. However, there were many cakes and pastries. Overall, this is a nice hotel with lovely employees, but the pool, gym, and sauna area could use improvement in order to make it more like a four-star hotel.

If you want to check out, you will be given a golf cart on a hilly slope. Free wifi is theoretically available, but it is extremely difficult and frequently sluggish. Safe, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, robes, slippers, coffee maker, fireplace, umbrella, and mini fridge are all included in the room. Duvet tub separate. separate room with toilet from rest of bathroom with dual sinks.. Nice buffet breakfast.

Our stay here was an experience. Unlike any other "hotel". Located spectacularly in the foothills of the pyrenees, accommodation consisted of little chalets scattered around a large area. Guests travel between the various facilities in golf carts. The restaurant was spectacular (view & food) but expensive. Breakfast was very good, also beautifully located
