It's truly a boutique hotel, personally owned by one man since 2005. It took him 2 years to renovate a neglected 19th century stable and create a luxurious retreat. The hotel only has 8 rooms (making it the smallest 5-star hotel in France), and it's open during Biarritz' high season, only 4 months. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are tastefully decorated in a blend of modern and period furnishings. The art collection is French Modernist (think Bernard Buffett), the glass is blown glass from the 60s and 70s. And then there is the champagne, mostly Dom Perignon. Luxury experience? Absolutely. Gracious? Very. Clean? Spotless. Gourmet food? Delicious. Spa? Yes. Pool? A lap pool! Landscape? Gorgeous. Pet friendly? Silver bowl for the puppy! Interior decor? Made me so jealous I didn't want to leave. Breakfast is a la carte, and drinks are generous. We will definitely return.

Beautiful small hotel with truly outstanding service. A luxurious property in a quiet residential area, about a 30m walk to the centre of Biarritz and the beach. Only a few rooms so the service is personal and attentive.

A quiet, family run hotel away from the Centre but close enough to visit most areas and attractions. We went to Spain which is only a 40 minute drive. The staff were extremely attentive and the whole environment was relaxing.

A nice three nights at a very service-oriented hotel. Staff could not have been more helpful. Was a bit surprised at the elegant and somewhat formal decor but found the hotel a good place to relax away from the activity of downtown Biarritz.

Lovely individual boutique hotel. Definitely need a car as it is in a residential area on the outskirts of Biarritz. Nice large room however no air con so was very hot at night. Nice pool but the grass around it was in need of a cut and the white plastic sun loungers although very trendy to look at were so uncomfortable that it prevented us from spending time at the pool.

Great hotel perfectly situated for the airport and exploring Biarritz. The accommodation is beautiful and well maintained with great staff. Our only gripe is that the in room facilities lack a few complimentary extras. For example bottled water attracts a mini bar charge. There is no coffee machine. Given the room rate this is surprising . These are small touches that are absent. In truth this is a little pedantic. Overall I would recommend it.

L'établissement en lui-même est charmant et le personnel sympathique. Cependant notre chambre n'était pas prête à l'heure, 20 minutes d'attente sans que l'on nous propose un rafraichissement. En chambre, pas de climatisation, pas de machine à café, une télé de la taille d'un écran d'ordinateur… De nuit, du bruit en permanence dû aux voies de circulation en contrebas. Bref à 400 € la nuit hors petit déjeuner, nous sommes vraiment désenchantés.
