This location is rather extraordinary but charming. After visiting the well worth visiting Chateau de montresor, we remained here for one night. After helping us with our luggage and taking us to our stunning room, the Chambre Seigneurial, which was the main trip advisor image, we were greeted by jeff, who graciously assisted us with our luggage. It was enormous, tastefully decorated, and furnished with antiques and a super king bed. The bathroom was stylish and modern, with plenty of towels and amenities. There is a very fashionable communal sitting area for visitors along the hallway, with a kettle in the corner and tea makers Frenchstyle, no milk! Although I believe that you can eat dinner in advance, jeff booked us into a fantastic nearby restaurant. It was a great time in the dining area with other visitors, and it was very amiable. Be sure to take some time to explore all the old monastery buildings and grounds as this is a fascinating location.

We made a choice for this place thanks to Google Maps, and it was amazing. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and there was a large communal living area we didn't have time to enjoy. The breakfast was excellent and provided warm service. The main building is beautiful restored, and the other restored outbuildings are full of artworks by artists that Jeff invited to work at the corroirie. Jeff speaks excellent English and is extremely understanding of our terrible French!.

We stayed one night and wished to stay more. Friendly reception from the manager who spoke very good English. Lovely room, very large with double views. bathroom good. Breakfast was very good, fresh bread and croissants, local goat cheese and honey. Beautiful buildings to explore and montresor an interesting town. There is lots to see in the area.

In the beautiful town of Noches, which offers a decent selection of restaurants and stores, the property is about a 15 minute drive away. We were there on a Monday night and only a few restaurants were open, but the place we chose had a good dinner. It was amazing to return to the property and marvel at the complete peace and quiet and total darkness, great for watching the stars! Most of us will never get to experience living in a French castle, so the chance to spend the night in a building oozing historic charm is almost too good to miss. The property is rustic, situated in grounds that are partly wild and partly tended vegetable gardens, along with beautiful climbing roses, lovely flowering trees, and a moat full of bullrushes. There are also colorful bee hives, producing honey, which I believe is possible to purchase. However, the setting is never manicured or perfect, and that's part of its charm. We were at the Cardinal's, a huge room with double aspect windows and a very spacious and comfortable bed. The bathroom was delightful, and everything was very clean, with plenty of fluffy white towels and a great shower. The host owner is free to utilize the large sitting room with lovely art pieces, interesting antiques, and furnishings, but because we only stayed for one night, we were unable to interact with us.

This place seemed good, if it's a little more expensive than usual. A rather snarky and untidy gentleman appeared when we arrived and introduced us to the rooms for breakfast, dinner, etc. The rooms were very nice with a freestanding bathtub and separate shower and toilet. There were three big windows that overlooked the grounds. In addition to a tiny veggie garden, there is sadly nothing done to improve the grounds. There is a fascinating old church on the grounds that you may visit. We had reserved dinner on both of the two nights we were staying, and the first night's meal was excellent but not excellent, given the price. Breakfast in the morning was adequate. Again, not great. I'm afraid our previous accommodation, which had a little in the room, depleted us, but the dinner and breakfast were really tasty! So, the second night, we prepare dinner and enter the furnished room only to discover a table set up for four people for breakfast. We then attempted to find someone to inquire about our dinner, only to discover that we seemed to be the only people in the area! We had to change quick and travel in the vehicle to the nearest location where we could have eaten, which we did, although it was fairly basic. Not what you would anticipate after you book the meal with the lodging! Overall, for what you receive, this is an expensive stop! Our previous
