We liked this hotel where we stayed for 3 nights. Very close to Gare de Lyon which worked well with our plans. This isn’t a classic Holiday Inn, it really has more cachet and the architectural details that make you feel you are in Paris. We had a room with a balcony which we enjoyed. Our room was an ok size for Paris but we didn’t have a basic room and heard that the basic rooms were quite small. Ours had a brand new bathroom and was well designed so it didn’t feel too small. The area is average, so there are dining options and your classic Paris staples but nothing earth shattering. The hotel restaurant seemed very nice although not cheap. We didn’t end up going but noticed the food and drinks menu looked top notch. Grocery store in front for basics and snacks.

We arrived at the Gar de Lyon just before midnight after a train trip from Venice and were welcomed and granted a late checkout the next day. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the station. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom and USB charging ports for devices. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of options and a huge range of good bread and pastry. There was scrambled egg but you could also boil your own eggs. We really appreciated the comfort of the hotel after a day travelling and recommend it highly.

Excellent location if you plan to take a train from Gare de Lyon. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Its a solid four star hotel.
