Excellent location in Laon. Husband and wife staff were extremely friendly and helpfull. We'd hoped to dine on site for our evening meal. Their restaurant was closed and they found us an alternative restaurant and made a dinner reservation for us. I was recovering from a cold and the owner prepared me a hot lemon honey and ginger drink to have before I went to bed. Even made me one the following morning. To some the hotel may feel dated, but out group of 8 loved the sense of history the hotel had. The building has heritage status and should I ever find myself back in Laon, I would definitely stay here again.

Hôtel de charme, avec un cachet "vintage" , loin des établissements stéréotypés habituels. La direction et le personnel sont à l'écoute, très serviables et disponibles . La cuisine est bonne, le niveau de propreté tout à fait satisfaisant. Un excellent choix pour un séjour à Laon.

Vom Hotel aus sind alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in ein Paar Minuten zu erreichen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Auch das Hoteleigene Restaurant sollte man nutzen, allein wegen der tollen Atmosphäre dort.

Hotel de la Banniere is like the hotels that you used to stay in with your parents in the 1950's ( with modern facilities and comfortable beds!). Either you like it or you don't. We like it. We met a couple in the EXCELLENT hotel restaurant who have stopped off here each year for 30 years, this is only our 3rd so have a few visits to go. We intend to stop off here every year. Staff are great, speak English. You can book secure parking. Book the restaurant when you arrive and come down early

Séjour agréable malgré l'absence de climatisation en ce temps de fort chaleur. Dommage que le restaurant est fermé le dimanche soir, surtout qu'il n'y a presque rien de correct ouvert en ville.

Extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Rooms comfortable but a little faded. Wifi signal didnt reach my bedroom on second floor. Excellent location in the medieval city. Make sure you book parking in the private garage in advance.

A very traditional French provincial hotel of the old school. Nothing wrong with that! Just what we were looking for. Laon is a great stopover location on the way south or north. Plenty to see and good places to eat.

Lovely old hotel near the cathedrale. The owner was so nice, very welcoming and thoughtful. It is old and it could do with some tlc but I would stay here again. Its not ideal for families or anyone with mobility problems as it doesn't have a lift but we managed okay (onlt one flight of stairs) and it's clear when you book it you are staying in an old hotel which is part of its charm. Public parking just round the back if you don't make his onside garage in time. He charges 10 euro for parking if you do. Restaurant wasn't open when we were there so noting it's a small town with limited opening hours get there us time for dinner out! Options within a few minutes walk.

Friendly, clean, comfortable and easily accessible (by bus No 4 from gare. Stop at Gambetta) is how we would describe this hotel. Within walking distance of the cathedral, art museum, Templers chapel, Port d’Ardon, and some very nice lookout points. Nearby, there are many restaurants and bars. The hotel serves breakfast too.
