I spent the first day in normandy, France, back in July. My school and I had gone on a trip there. The location of the home du contention comes to mind as soon as you enter the first area of the building. The first part of the building appears to be nice but as you grow into your trip, you may change your mind. When we arrived at the first night, we discovered that the meal was not to our taste. From here, let's move on to the bedrooms. Even though the beds were quite comfy, we had trouble putting our feet on the top bunk. Some days were the same, but a few proved to be really satisfactory.

In July, I visited the home du contention with my school for a cultural language excursion to normandy. And it was perfect for that purpose. Certainly, the rooms are pretty basic, with en suite bathrooms and no wifi, but the meals and activities offer a good insight into French culture. Our group was given rooms, which I believe were better, but in my opinion the rooms would not guarantee a good night sleep. Also, there are no air conditioning or fans available, so it was quite hot in the french summer. The true standout attraction of this motel is the location. In the middle of a lovely French town called ago countanville, and only a 1-minute walk from the famous normandy beach. On the other hand, mont it michel, the bayou museum, and war cemeteries are both within an hour drive. Overall, the motel may be average, but its great because of its location if you are in a large group.

I stayed one night because I was visiting a friend who was in his school group. The motel is somewhat simple but very clean and comfy. The room I stayed in had bunk beds, an on-site shower, basin, and we, again very clean. It is 50 meters from the beach and in a good location for exploring Normandy. I didn't eat in the hotel but talked to the students and teachers about how nutritious and wholesome the food was. I wouldn't hesitate to return. My only minor complaint is the towels are a bit small.
