This is the only time we chose to remain there if it was becoming dark and we were unable to travel to Castellan. We drove and drove before finding a place to stay, originating from grass. The next town had one submerge, but it was of very, very low quality, and the proprietor actually recommended this location to us. Thorens is a ski town during the winter, and this is a ski hotelier if youll be out most of the time and want to stay cheap. The room was tiny and outdated, with a prefab plastic toiletshower installation that made it crowded, but it did have a hefty flyscreen with enough stations to entertain us while we picnic because the town was completely dead. Plus, there was absolute silence, without other guests, so we slept well and nothing to stop us from getting an early start the next day. We couldn't have asked for more for fifty euros for a double. There is a restaurant downstairs, which I think is actually the focus of the couple who owns the place, but we didn't try it. It smelled great, and the menu appeared nice, but we weren't up for another multiple-course French meal at the time.

The only important things noted above are the extremely delicious cuisine of Urent, the exhilarating laughter of Cristina his wife, and the general kind ambiance of the entire station. Although the toilet shower is small, the double bed is large and comfortable, and the small climatic station of Thorens is in an ideal location, and we spent three full days enjoying all of it and getting our first full rest for several months.
