We were not staying in our rooms here but at a different place who recommended lauberge des tilleuls for dinner. The place is run by an Englishfrench couple tidier and debbie who made us feel very welcome. We had a drink to start which was kir chataignea local liquor made from chestnuts mixed with dry white wine that was nice not too sweet and just a slight nutty flavor. My husband had the aumoniere duck confit wrapped in film pastry with chinese spices which he really enjoyed. I had the bruschetta with goat cheese and bacon and it was a wonderful combination of flavors. I chose filet de boeuf for our main which was cooked to perfection with the most amazing mushroom sauce and served with seasonal vegetables. We were both in heaven. I decided to treat ourselves and had dessert my husband chose the creme brulee and I had a chocolate dessert which was more milky than dark chocolate because I personally prefer heavy dark chocolate. My husband liked the creme brulee it wasnt too sweet and very creamy. I also like how you can order your own wine in a small carafe which is very helpful when one of you is driving. It was a monday night in winter and the restaurant was quiet until the local carpet bowls team arrived for a drink in the bar area. We

The only drawback is opening on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday only during the week.

The view here is fantastic. The food was amazing. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very good. I love the way they presented the food. The condition of the restaurant is also very clean. The staff here was so friendly and attentive. They also provide a lovely sunday lunch.

If we were in the region, we would most certainly stay here again. We chose to give it a shot because there wasn't many other options in the area after looking for this hotel on the internet and seeing nothing on TripAdvisor. Although one of the three rooms had a brief view, they were all clean and cozy. To the delight of our two adolescent children, we had high hopes for some Frenchstyle cuisine and were looking forward to it. Numerous British people were also dancing in French at the bar. It really had a real friendly atmosphere.
