We stayed out of season, and the place looked to be closed, but a very nice lady came to the door, and we were given a room on the ground floor with a great view over the peculiar and unappealing village of outages in the vende, France. We were worried that there wouldn't be hot water in the room, no at the rp that night or at 730 am, but thankfully, in time for my shower, I had piping hot water at sunrise! Due to the absence of season, the restaurant restaurant was recommended by the hotel manager, but what was not a hit was the restaurant that was not a hit. But more about this in another post.

We stayed here for one night on a long bicycle journey. It is on the top of a hill, has wonderful service, views, and food. Our original allocated room, which had a view, a large 5 bed, but no bath, was recently renovated. After cycling all day, I was desperate for a bath, so I changed rooms for ones with baths. Disappointment, not all rooms are identical, it was in the back, old, and had a small inch bed, but I didn't care because it had the longed for bath. Our friends also had different kinds of rooms, so we suggest you ask for the one you prefer in advance.

I'm not describing a restaurant as a lodging. This is not a quick food cafe! The menu offered was real, the chef prepared French cuisine, and the service was excellent and really effective. This is a restaurant where you can rest and taste the food instead of getting lost and vacating the table for the next customer. The menu is not particularly cheap, but it is a good value for money because of the freshness of the ingredients and the care with preparation and service. There is a reasonable choice rather than an overextended range, which obviously allows the chef to focus on fresh quality. The wine list is reasonably priced and has a good selection. The restaurant has huge panoramic windows that look out over the city and the surrounding area, and in summer, the seating extends to a large terrace with the same views. Will certainly return to try the other menu items. The town is highly worth a visit, especially if you have the time to stroll the green route a roadpath painted route that winds through the city and highlights points of interest. I spent 5 nights on business. Nice flora and fauna on the property and lovely village. Room 9, on the second level, had a cozy double bed and all necessary facilities functioned flawlessly. There was no air conditioning or fan. Given the cool nights, I did not require air conditioning, but I like sleeping in quiet places with ac noise to drown out other unseemly sounds. Only listened to a few loud motorcyclists. Slid properly! Had a good time on the patio enjoying some beverages. Having said that, the food was excellent, but my opinion the menu was dwindling. If you order the burger, request it cooked completely, unless you prefer it raw. Everyone on staff was polite, and a few of the ladies spoke English. Would return to this hotel.
