The owner of the hotel was very kind and gracious, and then we also had a delicious meal in our room. After that, the comfort room was so modern with the facilities they provide. Subsequently, the breakfast was so delicious. Afterward, the breakfast was so simple.

The nice hotel is in a traditional house in a small village in a lovely valley in the French Basque country. We had a comfortable room on the low level, which was simple but comfortable, clean and of sufficient size. The bed was good, the bathroom was good, the decoration was nice, and there was a small veranda with mountains views. The breakfast buffet was too basic, and the free wifi was good. There is free parking available. Dogs are welcome as an extra. We didn't try the restaurant because we arrived late, but the menu seemed very intriguing. The owner's manage the hotel, so we didn't try it because of our late arrival. Special appreciation to tabi for helping us with everything we needed from the time we made the reservation till we left.

It is fine as a base for hiking or cycling, but not as a hotel with facilities. We didn't stay for breakfast. I have a comfortable double room in the new wing. The accommodation was fine but not very comfortable, the bed was very firm. The owner of the hotel was pleasant. The hotel is on a hill with a mountain view, but there are only a few buildings nearby. So this is fine as a base for hiking or cycling but not as a hotel with facilities. The restaurant was adequate but served rustic cuisine.

We made this hotel reservation even though several bad reviews have pointed us away from our original destination, St. Jeanpieddeport. The town of Blanca, 12 miles away, only has 300 people and is far from anywhere. Despite this, this hotel has survived and thrived for almost 70 years. High-quality and appears to have been lovingly renovated and maintained by the and grd generation owner mother. The original structure dates from the nineteenth century and mixes character with contemporary features and style. A restaurant on site serves regional cuisine for supper. Very relaxing visit!.

We made our decision to stay at this hotel solely based on restaurant restaurant reviews! We luckily reserved the restaurant when we booked the hotel rooms several months in advance because it was already sold out on the night we stayed. We were very special because we were an Australian and had traveled a very long distance. We had reserved simple rooms, but were upgraded to a newer balcony room that was large, nicely appointed, equipped with a contemporary bathroom, a very comfortable bed, and all the little extras you look for on travel extra pillows and blankets, hooks, a separate toilet, and a sitting area. Dinner certainly lived up to expectations with great Basque food, charm, and excellent service, with a warm, fun atmosphere. It was a wonderful night. The side trip to this motel was well worth it. We wish we could remain longer.
