Loved the hotel staff are brilliant and rooms are always nice but the major issue is the street outside hotel ..the hassle you get trying to walk down the road is like nothing I have experienced before ..many other guests say they same ..that put us off the hotel for our trip next time..but apart from that a amazing hotel

We had a wonderful stay at Kombo Beach Resort! The views are absolutely stunning, waking up to the ocean just steps away was such a dream. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Special thanks for offering to extend our checkout time when our flight got delayed. The food does take a little while to come out, but it's totally worth the wait. Everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. Breakfast was a standout too, different options to start the day right. Overall, a lovely and relaxing spot. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting The Gambia!

Had an EXCELLENT stay at resort. Staff professional and friendly. Wifi strong and reliable. Breakfast buffet was enjoyable and tasty 😋 Ocean view room was nice and comfy.

The hotel was lovely, rooms are newly refurbished and are clean. Beds are comfy and are made up beautifully each day. The beach is nice and right on the hotel front, the security makes it feel very safe to relax on. The only thing I would say is there is always a lot of sellers from the markets who come up to you on the beach constantly. The food was good, especially the Sunday bbq. The staff are also super friendly and helpful and just want you to have the best possible stay. The management however were not as friendly and seemed to just walk around the resort only saying hello and speaking to people who were “deluxe” guests. The only problem we had was they originally booked us down as B&B when we had paid for all inclusive so we had an embarrassing confrontation with the bar staff when they told us we couldn’t have drinks or lunch !! But this was very quickly rectified luckily.

Toppenhotell. Lite dyrt men perfekt läge och skön strand. Ingen trängsel om solstolarna. Mycket bra frukost men kallt i poolen. Glad och trevlig personal!

Very memorable stay at combo beach. We found it to be our first time in the game and we were pleasantly amazed. We looked at the negative reviews and were a little worried, but if you are looking for Europe-style hotels, stay in Europe. And everything was excellent. There are many restaurants and pubs nearby, the food was excellent, and the place was always beachside and poolside. There are numerous sunbeds available nearby as well as on the beach. The room is slightly worn out, but it is always spotless, just as the rest of the hotel. The staff is outstanding, as are the local tour guides, we used law tours and Kevin, who was outside the hotel, and they both went above and beyond for us. If any clothes can be returned to their villages, some of the locals will be very grateful, so bring them home and leave them. Absolutely nothing wrong with this stay. I cannot complain given 150 dalasi for a beer.

Great hotel on the beach with friendly staff. Amazing breakfasts, evening entertainment and cocktail happy hour as the sun sets - perfect! Great for kids as lots to do around the pool and activities for them to take part in as well as a fantastic beach!

Our family had a great time at Kombo Beach! Hotel staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. The half board is an excellent choice, especially with children. Daily activities and evening music and shows were a delightful bonus. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you!

I spent 2 weeks at this hotel with my fiance who travelled from Lagos, Nigeria (I travelled from the UK). I made a prior booking by email to be picked up at the airport, directly with the hotel, as my partner and I were arriving late on a Sunday night. No vehicle from the hotel was at the airport to collect us and we had to plump for a taxi, with no local currency ! The hotel counter staff on duty did not seem surprised or unduly bothered. Our room, (number 257) was spacious, had good storage, a small fridge for our snacks/drinks and a comfortable bed. On the downside, the TV & phone didn't workl and there were several large cracks in the window. In the bathroom, the sink tap jiggled about in its housing, not what one would expect from a 4 star hotel, but.. this was Africa ! We reported these problems to the reception next day. The TV was repaired almost immediately, but none of the other items were attended to any time during the holiday. The buffet breakfast was superb with all of the western favourites, e.g. bacon, beans, grilled tomatoes, plus different cereals, fruit and breads.Eggs and pancakes were cooked to order and staff filled coffe & tea cups frequently. My lady & I enjoyed 3 massages in the health centre..brilliant ! Happy hour in the lobby bar 6-8pm was great..They make a superb Margarita !!
