It doesn't look like much from the outside, but when you walk through the portal from the busy street, you enter a small, comfortable, quiet, clean and well-run hotel. We had a clean apartment, big, well equipped and reasonable prised. Nice breakfast buffet, unique view of the local castle and a peaceful garden to relax in. All in all a small oasis in down town Werningerode.

This hotel is on the south side of Write stare, close to the intersection with Schaferstrae, which runs parallel back a long distance. There is a small car park at the back of the hotel. If this is full, a display voucher is provided for parking in the nearby city parking lot. City tax must be paid in cash, credit cards must only be used for lodging itself. The rooms are spread around the meandering terrain and vary in size. But they are comfortable, clean, and quiet. They are very competitively priced. Breakfast is served in a separate building in the back yard on the first floor, via a spiral staircase. There is a reasonable choice.

We have received an unpleasant feedback from the staff members, who were inexperienced, and poor. But, this place can be better than he stated in a good way when it isn't full. The receptionist we met on arrival was pleasant and helpful, helped us with our luggage, and found a parking spot on the street due to the car park being full. From our room, we had a great view of the schools, and the bathroom was superb. A good variety of options, and delicious coffee were offered, and the breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was outstanding. The station where you can take the train from the top of the broken takes a 10-minute walk, which was also quite convenient. Now the problem is that we specifically requested that not be on the top level, but maybe that is where they put us because they were full. This meant climbing several flights of stairs, not getting a lift every time we went up to our room, and for some reason, the most difficult bed I have ever had. As the hotel was filled, the beds in this room appeared to be considerably less luxurious than those in other rooms that we observed while traveling past. The garden was also not accessible because of the constant entry and exit of cars from and around the parking lot, which was clearly too small for the size of the clientele, which was why we had to park on the street. This hotel is situated at the northern edge of the hard mountains in the heart of Werningerrode, the city center, and around a courtyard of a collection of old timber-framed structures arranged around a courtyard. After the German reunification, the hotels buildings, which were like most of the old houses in this medieval town, have undergone a thorough renovation. Due to the squabbling construction, each room is different, occasionally small, but fully furnished with modern convenience. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was helpful and friendly. Despite some limited parking spaces, it is not too hard to locate a place for an overnight stay by the roadside. The hotel does have a cafe, but they do not operate an evening restaurant. Although many small, attractive eateries are within walking distance, this is no minus.

The Breakfast tasted excellent with delicious crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, beautiful orange juice and coffee, and also the usual delicious rolls. Having a lovely room with a view of Wernigerode castle from the window. The staff were very kind.
