I heartily endorse Haveltreff. Beautiful setting by the shore with lakes. The hotel and eatery are excellent. We came in a group of 8 people, including 4 children, and had a wonderful time. The rooms are roomy and nicely furnished with everything you need. We anxiously tried the restaurant because we were informed that the chef is French delighted! Excellent meal with attention to detail. What more could you want? In essence, excellent value for the money. In the end, this family-run establishment is the ideal choice if you want to visit Berlin, spend a day or two in Potsdam. While staying away from the busycrowded city center.

The rooms are good, and the staff is great, the food was a surprise as the food was of a high quality. We recommend the hotel and restaurant.

The owners and staff are quite pleasant and serve an excellent breakfast every morning. And then, they served a great range of breakfast in the morning. Following that, the room was spacious and had a peaceful atmosphere with a view of the pond. Subsequently, the location is good for shopping and sightseeing outside Berlin.

It was wonderful to travel through potsdam before Christmas and have the perfect train ride, which includes great christmas markets, alexanderplatz, shopping, and so on, to return to the picturesque lakeside village of Cath and unwind in the contemporary but warm luxury of hotel haveltreff. I wont even try to spell out the rest of the name. The hotel is close to a small ferry crossing over the canal that connects two really opulent lakes, a huge sunny summer terrace, an extremely charming restaurant, and probably a dozen rooms. The spacious, contemporary suite with a balcony overlooking the canal, which was so cozy with retro vintage carpets and wallpaper, was where we remained. Although I am not sure if a transparent glass door separates a bathroom from the bedroom, everything was in great condition and immaculate. But while the shower is excellent and includes those annoying designer taps that require an engineer's degree and two hours of internet access before it can operate, I still prefer a bath. We arrived late, but the room was still full of apparently delighted residents finishing what looked like some pretty decent meals. The owner and his wife uta remy, a Frenchman who worked in vienna and bombora, went overboard and created an excellent christmas motherofallsnacks just for us. The service is nice with the friendly staff. The atmosphere is very relaxed with an outlook towards the water. The restaurant also offers outside seating.
