I stayed here for a wedding and the whole hotel was rented for the event. It was the ideal setting. Beautiful grounds, a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces, and a perfect lake view. The food was delicious. There was an amazing variety of buffet weddings, all beautifully and delicious. The small swimming pool was perfect for accessing the lake. The rooms were clean, quiet, and cute. Public transportation is a bit difficult, the wedding party ended up renting a large van to transport people from the train station, maybe 20 min by car, rather than trying to navigate buses on country roads with limited run times and difficult to determine stops.

Cafe Wild is well-known for its culinary and diplomatic efforts. Gerard Schaeder and Eric Honecker met here before the reunification in the days of their reunification. It includes a few hotel rooms to rent and an annexe that appears to hold 8 self-catering units. It has a stunning lakeside setting with a pier for steamers that have plied the lake since 1924 or earlier, outdoor eating, and a small bathing beach. Although we weren't the only visitors, ours seemed to be the only vehicle left in the parking lot, so naturally, many visitors travel by boat or bicycle. Our room was very comfortable and very spacious breakfast was excellent, we failed to sample lunch or supper.
