We stayed for three days and were a little dissatisfied with the service. The rooms are quite large, buses are late, we must collect the keys from a safe at the back of the hotel. Two of the three numbers at the central entrance were not passed through and it took some time to enter. My disabled mother and her baby were a little difficult. The wifi in our area was not working and the staff just said they knew about it but could not help as they didn't manage it. And we found the price for the location to be on the high side. Breakfast was good and elaborate but the rooms are spacious. A backdrop was they were working on the road so we were awoken early by the noise.

The hotel is not brand new, it is 12 years old, but in excellent condition. Unique design in line with the surrounding area provides it a very friendly kerb appeal and closer inspection there are some great details. For instance, outside the front door is a statue of a man enjoying a drink in a beautiful block paved area. Garage for cars is located at the rear of the hotel separated from the main building by garden. The rooms are spacious, with mine having a double bed, a big sofa, a small table, and a big bathroom with good quality furniture. The village position means little traffic, but oldenburg can be reached in 10 minutes. One night, I had a meal with some customers and suppliers and the food was first class. The restaurant is the bar area, but it's so well done that it feels somewhat comfortable and has a laid-back atmosphere. The food is excellent. When I was there the asparagus was just in season and the chef responded fantastically by creating a number of dishes to mark the occasion. I chose the madagascar steak, which was one of the very best I have ever tasted on my travels, definitely top 5 quality cut and excellent cooked. Run by the same family for over 250 years, and they care about their guests. highly advised.

I stayed here with friends for the christmas markets. Nice continental breakfast. The room was clean and large. It was nice and warm on a cold, wet, and windy weekend. I can check in on the wifi in my room so I can stay up to date with home news. Local friends were able to join us for breakfast and bring their toddler. Fortunately, a high chair was provided.

This hotel is very recommended. The hotel has great staff. The location is very close to the main road and all the cycling routes. The hotel is very comfortable. They welcome an English-speaking guy who can't speak German and make me feel at ease. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
