What a fascinating location! Our rooms are decorated, with pictures of Marlene Heinrich and Sarah Leanander. When we got there, it was obvious that work had only just been done on the entrance and stairway, which looked excellent. The other areas of the hotel, while fine, could benefit from a renovation that I believe is imminent. If you enjoy ships and other things, this is the place to stay, as there are pictures and ship crests in the dining room. Can't give a higher praise, just fantastic.

We were fortunate to receive one of the apartments that they had attached to the hotel. We also brought our dog. The apartment was the perfect size and had no stove and a tiny kitchen. It is close to a little harbor where you can stroll on the boardwalk. Very good. We love the outdoors, and we were delighted that we were on a major road that would be easy to drive to various areas where you can hike through woods or walk along amazing beaches. The city center is only 5 minutes by car away. It's unappealing for us to stay in a hotel because there are no smokers. The owners smoke inside, making the hotel smells of cigarette smoke. All in all, it was a really pleasant stay.
