We all prefer this village house to a city hostel because of it's proximity to the centre of Fröhburg. 15 to 20 minutes drive to the walkirch direction, we all agree with the location because you never expected your room to have such a spacious balcony in front of a large meadow. You can pretty much stay there for a day without doing anything other than enjoying the quiet moment there. Room cleaning and wifi might be the only disappointments. They appear to be cleansing the room in a arbitrary manner, for example, occasionally they clean the room without throwing the trash, and often they throw it but forget to change the toilet floor towel, etc. Additionally, the free wifi doesn't always work properly. Overall, this is a good location to stay if you want to experience a truly unique cottage life on a budget.

We've visited here ten times, never being let down, and now the guest rooms have been upgraded and are even nicer. We adore it because of the warm welcome, excellent value for the money, and family-friendly atmosphere. Breakfast is excellent, and it includes all you could want from a delicious continental buffet of fresh, nutritious local fare. We've always been because it is only a 20-minute drive from EuropePark, which makes it convenient to enjoy a two-day immersive theme park experience without also having to sleep there! Excellent recommendation of local restaurants, and a generally lovely vibe. Thank you, andrea, we hope to return shortly!.

25 people from the Anglo German Club Fröhlburg enjoyed another great spargelessen asparagus dinner at the Hirschenstube. The mixed salad starter was amazing, the asparagus main course with all its accompaniments was excellent, and the strawberry and ice cream dessert was excellent. As usual, the service was friendly and helpful. I expect to return there again next year.

Because we could not obtain a room at the Organfest in Waldkirch, we stayed here. The next time, I wouldnt even get around to looking for a room in Waldkirch. For a friendly German welcome, I don't think you could do better. Our room was big, quiet, and clean, and it had a lovely balcony that overlooked a meadow and black forest ridges. The internet was slow and it was less comfy for sleeping on one extremely warm night without air conditioning, but none of the nearby hotels in the country have air conditioning, and having windows open was fine. There was a lot of fresh fruit, cheese, cold cuts, cereals, bread, and softboiled eggs at breakfast, and it was nothing short of amazing. The restaurant was also excellent. A return visit is unquestionably appropriate. It's also simple to get there by train from Fröhlburg and a short ride from bucholz to Waldkirch, and included in the cost of the stay.

We a couple of dogs stayed here for 5 days in August and really enjoyed it. One can always feel like a hotel is family owned because you get personal service and tips and it's much nicer than staying in a place where you're just another number. We enjoyed long walks with the dog next to the nearby river and raspberries. The breakfast was great, with fresh eggs made to our liking, homemade jam, fresh bread, and other local goodies. The breakfast could also be delivered to the room or in a basket to go, which is a very cool idea. It's the ideal place to clear your head and relax. One star less for the same reason. There is nothing in the area apart from 2 restaurants that close pretty early. So if you want to go out in the evening you have to drive to another city. There is a nice restaurant within walking distance of the hotel, but after spending there three nights in a row we really wanted an alternative kind of entertainment. Apart from that, it was a really great stay. Thank you hirschenstube.
