When we came, we were met by a lovely woman who made us feel right at home from the beginning. They were very helpful in guiding us for a short walk. The place has a very calm and friendly atmosphere. We were served with well made typical German food in the evening. The room was really comfortable and everything we needed was covered.

The hotel is a bit off the road. This means it's very quiet. Perfect for unwinding. The rooms are quite spacious and immaculately clean. Ask for a room in a new area of the house. Dinner at the restaurant was adequately plated. The food quality was excellent! Nothing to complain about! The entire staff serving or addressing the guest is incredibly friendly and will do everything in their power to accommodate everyone as best they can. The breakfast buffet was well-stocked, and even for the folks who arrived 15 minutes before breakfast stopped, nothing was missing. Yes, I can suggest it. Families are also very welcome.

On the way to the apartment, we came upon this rathaus after a wonderful day in the black forest. They decided to work with us because they did not have a reservation. Even with 2 kids, the service was outstanding and helpful. They really speak English well for a dutch family that has trouble speaking german. The Wienerschnitzels were excellent. And the children's menu was ideal. We had a wonderful time. The perfect ending to a wonderful day. We'll return the following week for more exciting dining. Best wishes, family Schulpen the Netherlands.

We arrived late and needed a room. We planned to spend the night at a nearby hotel we had previously used, but sadly, the jose hotel has closed. We were there in spring before, so we don't know if the jose is gone forever. Anyway.. When we arrived, there was no one at the desk. I followed the noise down the hall to the restaurant and asked the waitress about the rooms. She left the restaurant and came back to the desk to check. Yes, they had a room. She summoned an older woman to show me the room. The room was nice and clean enough, although the carpet was a little shabby. No lift, so you walked up 15 stairs to a landing and another 14 steps to the hall where our room was. Our door was warped or something so we couldn't lock it from the inside. It locked perfectly from the outside after a little tugging. This was an isolated, rural area, so we felt safe and didn't worry about the lock. We did put a chair against the door thinking the crash or bang of someone entering would provide ample warning. The bathroom was very compact but clean. The towels were very, very thin. The towels were our only real complaint. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent. The menu had more options than many we found in Europe. The food was very good, reasonably priced
