After spending the day in Munich with my two high school kids and planning to visit Berchtesgaden the following day, this was a suitable stop for us because it is a little over an hour's drive from Munich. You begin to perceive much more mountainous terrain as you approach this area, which is just beautiful. The area immediately surrounding this village is dotted with farms and pastures, which was also very scenic and restful. When we first came, there was no one at the reception desk, and when we walked in, no one at the entrance. After looking around, someone finally came out of the kitchen to assist us. They did not speak any English, but with some gesturing, we could figure out what they required. They had us fill out a form in german, name, address, etc., which was all in German. I didn't understand the form because I didn't know German, and they were a little irritated because I didn't know what to write down, and because they didn't speak English, they couldn't tell me what to write down. It was so challenging, we agreed. But at the end of the day, our room was well lit and the bathroom was clean according to German standards. In the main dining area, there was a nice variety of fresh bread, cheese, meat, and fruit, the strawberries were the first thing we had seen

The hotel was very nice and the breakfast was beautiful. The receptionist is attentive, call me if we are not ready in time. Recommended if you like the best price quality. The bed is normal and the hotel is clean. Our family room was comfortable with the balcony. We can return if we have a stop near next year

Marquartstein is a charming village that is off the beaten path but close to sightseeing destinations. We spent three nights there with our two children, ages 6 and 9. First of all, Marquartstein is a charming village off the beaten path but close to tourist attractions. We visited Cermsee and Innsbruck while there. We had a lovely room and delicious meals while there. Breakfast was particularly delicious, and we saw families from several countries there. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room is spacious and clean, the wifi is free, and the restaurants are traditional German regional. This place is worth the money. The employee was a real friend and she helped me so much. The food is excellent with a traditional kitchen and generous portions.
