I would return and would most certainly suggest to friends. Let me start by stating that I made a direct reservation to the guesthouse online. The motel's website and familiar family-run ambiance immediately attracted me. Even though I was planning to arrive on their Friday, which is their ruhetag, or restday, the proprietors made special arrangements for me to meet them at a given time to gather our keys. There is no reception in essence, so there isn't a 24-hour reception, but there appeared to be staff in the receptioner every day, except on Mondays. The rooms are all on the first and second floors, and the only lift is a luggage lift, so wheelchair-accessible visitors wouldn't find this guesthouse to be suitable. There is a separate 24-hour entrance for residents, and it appears that the rooms are slowly being renovated and lighted up. Room 29 in my room was on the second floor. The bathroom had everything one would anticipate, with market flooring throughout, a comfortable single bed with a bedside locker, a small desk in the corner, and a suitable chair. A sizable wardrobe, a full-length mirror, and a spacious closet were all that one could possibly need. There was plenty of power outlets in my room, along with a radio alarm clock. The hotel now accepts payment by Mastercard, but, from what I understand, prefers payment in cash. So I reviewed this guesthouse back in 2009 when I last stayed there, but as I've recently returned from another week there, I felt I needed to update my review as their hotel has updated. Wifi is now accessible across from the hotel, password is obtainable from the front desk. The menu is still amazing and good value. Unfortunately, the English menu is not as comprehensive as the German, so I advise always asking for both menus to look at. Parking is available and a lot of the rooms are updated. Still no kettle in the rooms, but otherwise very well equipped. Flynetting has been added to the balcony doors. very useful.

The breakfast was delicious and complemented with traditional German food. I found this place to be incredibly comfortable. And then, the service here was so exceptional. After that, the hospitality was very nice. Subsequently, the restaurant downstairs was always full of German locals.
