This hotel's position on the charming harbor island just outside the altstadt in Strelsund is its finest feature. Looking out from the hotel, you're on the quay, 20 meters from the sea, with seagulls crying, cormorants and ducks in the water around you, and boats moored to the quay. The hotel is next to the Ozeaneum and about a 10-minute walk from the alter market. The room was good, adequate, and nicely furnished, with a desk, a small table, and two chairs, and a nice view of the Altstadt. But I believe the rooms on the other side of the hotel also have views of the sea. The bed was a little difficult for my liking, but everyone has their own preferences in this. What was nice in this room was that it was simple to regulate the temperature in this room. It was a little cold when I got there, but it heated up quickly as I turned the radiator knob, and cooled down when I turned the heating down. The room and the entire hotel were both functional. However, the plan does not include encryption, and my internet protection app kept complaining that the WiFi was unsafe. It was a big German breakfast buffet, with bread, meat and cheese, salad, various homemade salads, herring salads, egg salad, cottage cheese, fruit and fruit salad,

This modern hotel is located behind an ancient and well-maintained facade. The location couldn't be better, and most of the city's attractions, including the Ozeaneum, are close by. Our room was clean, well-appointed, and had a city rather than a sea view from our balcony. I'd even go so far as to claim that we had a fantastic view of the city and saved a few euros as well. Wifi worked in the room, but we couldn't get WhatsApp to work, which was frustrating. There were several outlets available for charging goods overnight. We had dinner at the hotel and found it to be of a good standard and reasonably priced. Breakfast the following morning was equally delightful. We had arrived on bicycles, and the hotel provided us with a secure undercover location to keep the bikes safe for no additional charge. The staff at this hotel, particularly the receptionist, were very helpful and most spoke better English than we speak German. One surprise was that there was no elevator at a modern hotel on four levels. Also surprisingly, no one offered to assist us with our bags up the three floors. A minor blip in what was a very enjoyable stay. Just ask when you visit, and I am sure they will assist you it is that type of hotel.

This is an old port hotel with a very impressive, small size hotel. There are a lot of nice restaurants around the corner and it only takes 10 minutes to walk to the old market and new market. Very nice and modest room with lovely views of ruger island, nice, comfortable bathroom, and a tasty breakfast buffet. Great value for the money overall.

I was very happy with this hotel. The Hiddenseer is located close to the old city on the waterfront. I wrote about my trip in blackandpaper. Com. One issue I had was that the room was a bit small but very clean. The service was fantastic. I thought the buffet was a bit pricey. Overall, I would definitely stay at the hotel again.
