I really appreciated all the staff's hospitality, especially the room cleanliness, the curtain tieback made of cup and teacups and lamp shades made from books and the quirky touches in the cafe and shop area that were put together by the children's play area, the food provided here was very delicious, especially the fresh baked bread smell, and the very good friendliness and help, especially the staff that is also so kind and helpful.

Overall, highly advised. I chose this hotel for my first trip to Berlin because it looked interesting and unique. And I was not disappointed. I stayed here with my 15 yearold daughter and we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful, very comfortable and very clean. We were given a brief history of the building and a library filled with old library books. The rooms are each named after an author, and the rooms contain a selection of books by that author. The cafe downstairs is also beautiful, with a great selection of breakfast food, pastries, and coffee. If youre looking for something different, interesting, and friendly to stay, dont be put off by the distance this hotels distance from the center of Berlin. The tram stop is a one minute walk from the hotel and the public transport system is very regular, efficient, and reasonably priced 7. 70 per person for an allday, all zones ticket.
