Since we arrived in Gölstadt to go on an Audi factory tour, we stayed here for the night because we booked a drive experience at the Neuburg Audi training facility. What a good surprise we got, the modern and clean rooms, plus they had a delicious restaurant, which prepared all the food with fresh ingredients and no preservatives. And to our surprise, they are listed on the Gourmet guide to slow food.

Would I return? We stayed at this historic Bavarian hotel only to discover that our first-floor room, which has no elevator, had been renovated to a high standard a few years ago. Excellent guarantee, with a fantastic shower, no bath, and a basin where you can put your toiletries. With a large soft cushion and donna, the twin pushed together beds were very comfortable. To only one English channel. Internet is available. There is no air conditioning. We made the decision to eat out and strolled to Hechtenstrasse 143 the next parallel street and had the greatest doner kebab we have ever had. If we had not spent another night there, we would have ate there again. Breakfast was provided in the front room with a good selection.

I can really recommend this place. The hotel is comfortable, the staff are courteous, and the room size is a minimum. The breakfast is delicious. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on Tuesday but there are more than enough restaurants, so I ended up at the Central Restaurant, where they served excellent schnitzel.

We spent just one night here for a local party. The food smelled good, we had eaten elsewhere. The room was small but clean, and comfortable, which is okay for this type of hotel. Breakfast was adequate. The host was quite hospitable. If you can, take a walk around the local area, there is a lot of history to see. Definitely a destination to stay if we are here again.
