There was hot and cold water and a bed, and the two receptionists were extremely helpful. That's about it, I can say. Because of the very small space and I am not a big person, my room 14 had a toilet that you could not use properly. There were no coffee or tea maker, and the towels had been entirely recycled. The breakfast area was located between the front entrance and reception in the morning, offering very little breakfast options. This hotel has been sucked up in the area for a very high cost.

I stayed with a friend for 2 nights for a Bundesliga match. The hotel is close to the river and at the end of a major pedestrian road, making it incredibly central. The hotel is a renovation of a hostel, very clean but basic. Great service, decent but not great shower, decent bed, and no elevator, so grd floor was a bit of a journey, didn't offer breakfast. There are many gay bars in the area, and if you're that way inclined, nice bra houses.

Do not expect anything extravagant because this is a two-star hotel. Breakfast and the receptionist are both pleasant. The room is clean and simple. This is not a motel, but a good option for a few nights in the center of Köln.

The hotel is not luxurious, but if you just want a budget, comfortable hotel with a good breakfast spread, it's fine. One drawback if you have difficulty with stairs. There is no lift.
