The hotel looks plain and outdated. But the cleanliness was good. And then, the room was spacious and nicely equipped. After that, the breakfast here was good. Subsequently, the location was strategic for the train stop and also the hotel's owner was so helpful and accommodating.

I recommend it for families with young children. We stayed in a four-person room on the second floor. The place was quite old and noisy floors, old furniture but well maintained and the room was small but equipped with all the essentials mini fridge, microwave, armchair, and phone. The shared bathroom was very clean. Breakfast could be yogurt, cereal, bread, fruit, juice, coffee, and tea. It was a valuable hostel, great for short trips and young people.

During my stay at Oktoberfest, I spent 3 nights with 3 other companions. This hotel is well located if you are visiting Oktoberfest. It was a little difficult to locate the hotel at first, but that was not a big deal. We appreciate the way they handled our late check-in. We had a private 4-bed accommodation, and it had a sink and shower, which was a nice surprise because we anticipated using the communal shower. The shared showertoilets didn't appear to be very busy each day. Everything was spotless and it appears that they take good care of this location. The beds were very comfy. Breakfast is included and just what we needed. I strongly suggest Hotel Pension Schmellergarten.

My husband and I stayed in a twin room for 3 nights. It is a bit like a hostel for mature adults having private rooms, but there are shared bathrooms and toilets which are separate and everything is spotless and clean. Breakfast is fantastic and extremely varied, with cereal, muesli, yoghurt, fruit, toastbread with spreads, and traditional European cold meats and cheese. There are steps, but not that many, and if you cant carry your own luggage, you shouldnt have packed that much! 2 minutes from the u or you can walk into town in 30 minutes.

Great location to make the most of Oktoberfest. Not a very upscale hotel, but compared to most other hotels in the area they charge not over the top. Breakfast is good and there is a great coffee machine. However, the prices are over three times the off season rate. Hope to return next year.
