I have stayed in several budget hotels in Germany and this one is my favourite. This place is close to the central station, clean rooms, friendly staff, not the best area but feel safe, close to all transport. I was allowed to leave my luggage at the reception after check out. The room and facilities are excellent. There is an elevator which is available but stops between floors so you must be able to walk up 10 steps to the room. Breakfast doesn't taste great, although there isn't much breakfast.

This place is 100 Turkish District, with groups of African Males on every corner. My wife is not safe, and I have no regrets about walking here. Since my arrival, I stayed in this Hamburg neighbourhood about ten years ago, and a lot has changed. To start with, the hotel was very friendly and accommodating for me and my family, particularly with our 3-month-old baby. But that's where everything ends. The room was small and heated, and the entrance was nicely wedged between a kebab shop and a cafe. Besides that, you must go a fair distance to reach anyone who speaks German.

The hotel is certainly not modern nor luxurious, but it met my main criteria for being near train and flixbus stations. Pros Location near train and flixbus stations friendly and cheerful front desk staff clean room with enough space We booked a triple room for the two of us but not in the best neighborhood and short flight of stairs if the elevator doesn't stop on the floor of your room narrow walkways and lift manual key lock Please remember to lock your door when you are in your room most hotels I considered were either fully booked or priced over EUR 200 for the date of our stay. I have no problems with this hotel at the rate it charges for a one night stay. However, if I had the opportunity to visit Hamburg again, I would likely pay more for a newer hotel.

I stayed here for 3 days at the end of October 2018. The staff was very friendly. My son was visiting me for a couple of days and I had to pay a reasonable amount extra. We had a delicious breakfast and the hotel is so central, literally across the street from the main station we could shop and go out again as we liked. Ideal. Recommended.

We had a long day of traveling from the uk, and our arrival at 11 pm was a pleasant surprise. Everyone on the staff was outstandingly kind, friendly, and upbeat. They didn't have anything too much to offer. Our trip was canceled on September 14 due to the queen's death. We had paid for three nights, but we only had two nights in Hamburg because of that. The hotel compensated for it by providing us with a complimentary breakfast each day. That was a wonderful gesture. I think the price was reasonable. The room was adequate and tidy. The lift is somewhat inconveniently tiny and slow, but no issue. The breakfast was excellent, although the hotel is larger than you'd expect from the outside and the breakfast rooms were occasionally a little overcrowded. The location is excellent. Just across the street and just around the corner from the railroad station. I'd advise this hotel.
