I found this place via tripadvisor recommendations. It lives up to the good reviews found on this website. The scenery is very serene. Salzburg is only a min away making this location a strategic place for a day trip to Salzburg. Don't forget to check out the designer outlet mall in Salzburg. We tried dinner at this place two nights in a row. Though the menu selection is limited, the meals may be the best Bavarian food we had on our day travel here. The hospitality of the staff here made us feel at home. The only downside is the poor mobile reception. So, don't expect to use your mobile data plan here. The alternative is to use the pay wifi provided by telecom.

We got a very nice and clean room and a terrace with views of the lake and mountains. My room didn't have a connecting bathroom. it was all over the place and quite an inconvenience. Bad wifi. Good breakfast. Good starting point for many great excursions.

We spent a couple nights here while visiting Berchtegaden. It is in a fantastic position to take advantage of the area's numerous outdoor activities. Your wifi signal is weak, so you must register and pay for it yourself. The breakfast was generous and free, and the personnel was extremely courteous. The hotel is situated on a beautiful little lake. This was one of our favorite spots to stay. Quiet yet close to everything.
