The basic price of a basic hotel is very expensive. The room was simple, the sofa beds were not very comfortable. The swimming pool was unique but small. The staff was fairly friendly. I wouldn't stay here on my next trip. Quite disappointed because the Tegernsee is beautiful but let down by this.

I really liked this hotel. We arrived late on our way through Europe by car. Not a modern one, but very nice, and the employees there were so nice. We had a spacious roomsuite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms as a family of four. We had a swim in the pool the next morning which was very nice. Excellent breakfast! I also liked bad wessex a lot and hope to return one day!.

I guess the decor is a bit antiquated and cheap but clean and tidy. The memory foam mattress let me sink into it to the point where it touched the floor. The bathroom was spotless and had a nice shower. The free wifi worked well. Expensive for what's on, but most places in the neighborhood are probably worse. I guess they don't travel much to see what the rest of Europe is like.

I've stayed at the Hotel Schnitzel for the past four nights, and the best thing I can say is that I will most likely return. Ideally located in bad Wessex, but far from any traffic noise, the hotel is in an ideal position. The garden, main rooms, and building are all quite nice. A tiny but pleasant indoor pool is provided at the hotel. The breakfast buffet is excellent, the rooms are clean, big with free wifi, and the staff and landlady are both very friendly. Last but not least, the costs are quite reasonable. The reason it only receives three stars is because the rooms, although pleasant, would need to be updated, as the entire furniture looks like it was purchased in the 1970 s 80 s. My biggest issue was that the windows were double-glazed, but they were so old that they let some air in. There were no shutters, and each evening I had to battle with old curtains that didn't close properly and let the morning light in. This is a little dishonest since it ruins the overall experience.

The hotel is one of several typical bavararian hotels, only a 5 minute walk from the Tegernsee. The public areas on the ground floor are small but nicely decorated with lots of tables and chairs and a few sofas. The hotel welcomes dogs who are permitted in these sitting areas but not in the main dining room. There are a lot of different rooms. Our suite was on the est floor and access was only by stairs, no lift and was traditionally furnished. The small bathroom was clean and functional but nothing more. The shower pressure was good but the temperature spicier. The bedroom had a double bed but two mattresses so it had a ridge in the middle. No pastries, pancakes, fried food and not great for young fussy eaters. The restaurant provides a delicious afternoon cake which is priced but looks good and a restaurant for a family of four who is placed in a suite that is only suitable for 3 people at most. Also in the garden is a bar with tables. It's a lovely hotel with good amenities and very friendly employees. I really regret having a family of four placed in a suite that is tegernsee. And a double bed with 2 single mattresses why don't hotels do that!.
