My experience at the hotel has been so far fantastic, largely thanks to Hilary M. In guest services. She was the first to warmly welcome me to the motel and quickly check me in. Her timely and professional approach exemplifies the kind of service i seek when choosing lodging in a new city. I appreciate her going above and beyond with her simple effort, which exceeded my expectations. Thank you, my stay at this hotel is very comfortable, and ill be back!.

I adore this hotel! So close to everything! Mohamed at the service desk was fantastic. He found us a room with two views of the city when we arrived early. After we got to our room, he called to make sure we were satisfied with everything. On our next trip to new york city, we will most certainly stay here again!.

I highly recommend the new yorker hotel, you wont be disappointed. I stayed at the brandnew yorkers for 4 nights with my 2 daughters and an adult granddaughter. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite with soaring views for free. The staff was very attentive to our every need, making our stay even more wonderful. Its location is great, walking distance to almost everything.

My room wasnt ready when i checked in, but the staff gave me another room, which was excellent. I was pleased because my previous room was the size of a closet, and the room is clean! The hotel offers good value for the money and is spotless. The elevators move quickly. However, the hotel requires an update.

I wouldnt suggest the hotel for this reason. Extremely helpful and kind staff, im not sure about the motel. I stayed in a standard queen room, which was quite small and very dark, and the toilet was so close to the wall that you had to sit on it at an angle. The room was spotless, the bedding was excellent, although the mattress did have sagging in the center, it was cozy. Maids came in every day to make the bed and clean it, but they did incredibly good work. It was nice that the room temperature control was available. Although the soundproofing isnt particularly good, you can hear people talking in your room next door, using the restroom, or taking ocular showers, especially at 7 p. M. There are numerous homeless people and downs throughout the hotels vicinity. They did ask for money, smoke marijuana, etc. This was surprisingly unpleasant and made my kids feel unsure.

We had a wonderful stay here! It was my first time in new york and it was so nice how the staff treated us. Special thanks to mohammad at reception! The hotel is in tastier location and very safe.

The rooms are stunning! The hotel is decorated in a vintage, art deco style. The beds are comfortable. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel itself is in an excellent location in midtown manhattan. It is also surrounded by penn station. Ive stayed here twice now and will definitely be back.

The rooms are quite small. So tiny with two standard beds one bed blocked the air conditioning because it was touching it. Had nice room tvs and showers with high water pressure and massaging heads. The hotel has amazing views, free dink coupons, great patriots, and is close to penn station and madride square gardens. Well worth a stay!.

Everyone i spoke with was very nice and helpful. As a diamond member, ive been able to get reclassified to deluxe room with an amazing view of the top floor. The maintenance guy who came to switch out the light bulb was really friendly, as was the team who managed the 40th floor! The hotel is older, so the room has some old elements, but thats to be expected. It was clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed our stay and found the whole experience to have been very enjoyable.

This place is in a great location. Times square is within walking distance, and there are many restaurants right outside our door. The view of the empire state building from our room was breathtaking. There is excellent water pressure in the shower, spacious room, etc. Staff very helpful. I will stay here again.

Overall, i expected some quirks because ive enjoyed staying at historic hotels, but im certainly wondering if we could have done better for the price. It is undoubtedly a mixed bag, as other reviewers have noted. Near penn station, which were the main draws for us, is surrounded by quaint historic art deco buildings. The beds and linens are spotless and cozy, even though they are small and outdated. We claimed to have paid more for erecting fewer metro view rooms. If this is larger, im afraid of what is standard. But to be fair, the view is breathtaking. Our neighbors and the elevators, who are on the back side, are both noisy all night long. No matter what you have set up, you will get sporadic hot water every few seconds. As far as the neighborhood is concerned, there are plenty of tourists and its primarily crowded, yet some side streets seem somewhat shifty. However, they do have security in the lobby, so it is helpful. Madison square is probably the closest you can get when you are doing something.

We will most certainly stay there again in the future. The hotel was excellent! Before heading out to Long Island for a funeral, we spent merely one night in new york. Its the best location. There are many excellent bars and restaurants within walking distance. We never felt unsafe and enjoyed having lots of people around at all times. In terms of appearance, it is incredibly cool. Even some art deco elements appear to have been forgotten about its earlier days. For etsy rooms in town, the two double beds city view room was quite large - it even had two closets, which was unusual. No minifridge or microwave was the only drawback.

We had a great time at this hotel thanks to the fantastic complimentry upgrade provided by the front desk. Mohammed at the reception was very helpful and made our honeymoon in new york city incredibly memorable. We also recently received prepaid late checkout! Cant wait to return here.

This is a fantastic hotel. The hotel has incredibly rich history, not just the links with nicolas tlazarus. There is an entire historical exhibit in the basement, although it is old, it remains spotless and the staff is friendly and accommodating. If you prefer luxurious glass and minimalist hotels with no character, dont stay here. This place is unquestionably the place to stay if you want to spend your time in reliving the history of new york city by living in one of the original art deco. It is located next to the subway and station.

This place isnt perfect or the biggest luxury in the area, but its very convenient when arriving by train and it is a great value in an amazing location. I feel safe because they always have staff making sure only guests go up the elevators. The rooms are clean and comfortable, albeit relatively basic. Given the location, it seems reasonably quiet. Heater and water heating are ok, however not too much trouble. Overall, this place offers excellent value for ensuring utmost safety.

Excellent service provided by every employee. The checkin counter personnel were courteous, helpful, and friendly. Security and safety were maintained by constantly checking everyone was a guest before entering the elevator. Clean and furnished with what is normally required. Although the standard room size is tinier than most hotels in new york, this is understandable. Excellent position in midtown manhattan.

The hotel is in the city center, the beds are comfortable, and the decor is clean and modern. The staff is friendly and professional, there is excellent communication before our visit. When traveling with family, it is important to feel safe at the hotel. I would definitely recommend it. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
