This was absolutely my favorite place to stay in Crete. Absolutely loved my stay in Heraklion. Manos is fantastic. Excellent host. Nice spacious room with a kitchen and fridge. Excellent cannister of coffee, and I want to emphasize how good the coffee was. Very good. Espresso machine. Beautiful courtyard, wooden gates that separate the courtyards into smaller enclosures. A second small sit out attached to the room. I loved my morning sitting in what felt like my private very green courtyard with the lemon trees cacti and other plants. Manos deserves special mention as a host. He goes out of his way to make one very comfortable. I asked for help with hiring a cab driver to go to the Palinas monastery. He suggested Bessie who I recommend. He called the monastery on my behalf and spoke to the nun in Greek, asked after the opening times. Lovely place to stay. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. My favorite place to stay in Crete.

Excellent host in Manos. He was always available if I needed help to find shower heater switch or anything of that nature. Great guy and very helpful with recommendations for places that turned out fabulous. Great spot in the city and easy walking distances for the city. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back at the next opportunity. Thanks again

Séjour fantastique de 2 nuits au cœur d’Heraklion. Cette résidence, en retrait du tumulte de la ville, est absolument charmante. L’hôte est au petit soin. Nous avons apprécié la bouteille d’eau et le petit déjeuner mis à notre disposition ( café, beurre, confiture, biscottes ). Un peu difficile d’accès en voiture à cause des travaux. Nous nous sommes garés au Robotic Parking ( 8€ les 24h ) à 5 min à pied. Je recommande vivement cette pépite !

They communicated very well with us and even offered help when we had a problem with our ferry delay. The host was very nice. The garden is gorgeous, the bathroom/shower is modern and cool and the bed very comfortable. We wish we had been able to stay longer.

Très bien situé, à proximité des remparts pour circuler en voiture ou faire le tour de la ville à pied, le logement bénéficie du charme et du calme d'un quartier très propre et très dynamique...petit bémol : beaucoup de travaux encours et quasi impossibilité de se garer tout près de la résidence ( beaucoup de rues fermées à la circulation) mais c'est temporaire ! Charmante cour arborée, au calme , logement décoré avec goût et matériaux de qualité Manos a été très disponible pour nous aider à nous garer... Très bonne adresse à recommander !

We stayed in the Lemon House at this property and enjoyed its historic charm. There are more modern rooms, but this one was more to our preference. Manos was a welcoming and helpful host at this family-owned hotel. His handmade wood/iron furnishings were an added touch.

Communication with property was great. It is in a quiet area and walking distance to city centre and port. Public transport options also close by and easy to use. Having access to a washing machine was an added bonus.

Sehr saubere Unterkunft. Perfekter Service von Manos bei check-in und -out. Unterkunft hatte was man braucht. Garten gepflegt. Und alle in Gehweite zur Innenstadt.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Lemon Garden! We had the upstairs room and it was really quiet and comfortable. We didn’t spend a ton of time in the room/at the property as we were only in the area for 2 nights but it was a comfortable place to come back to after days out sight seeing and we loved the kitchen and included dish ware for our breakfasts in the morning. The laundry was handy although be warned there is no dryer so plan accordingly to hang your clothes. We were able to find street parking right close by both days with no issues which was a plus!

This is an excellent property with a good size kitchen and apartment sized fridge. The owner met us at the residence and showed us around and helped us find a place to park our rental car. There is lots of free street parking available. The laundry room is a little building inside the courtyard which was very convenient. There is an excellent market less than a five minute walk away and it's an easy walk into Heraklion.
