Comfortable and spotlessly clean hotel. Lovely and friendly staff. Amazinv infinity pool with pool bar. Great location with tavernas and beach on your doorstep and only 10 mins walk into the centre of Skala.

We had a lovely holiday here and will definitely book again - shame they are full for the rest of this year or we would be back later this summer! Excellent hosts- especially Zefie and Lea - who make you feel very welcome. Rooms are basic but comfortable - which is reflected in the star rating/room rate, they are spotlessly cleaned everyday and have everything you need including air conditioning (included in the price). Pool was great - especially with an ice cold Mythos from the pool bar! Great location - close to the beach and a short walk into the centre of Skala.

The whole team at the Melodron and its quiet area just the right amount of distance away from the beach made it a perfect relaxing holiday. Great beer, food, company, atmosphere and assistance! Will definatley be coming back!

Very friendly, Wendy who runs it knows all your names and uses them each day when she sees you. Cleaned everyday. Lovely pool and grounds. Nice little bar and snacks. All friendly workers. Supermarket 2 mins beach over the road and restaurants all along and up the Main Street. Quiet and all you need is there. Basic breakfast but adequate. Would definitely recommend

Had a great stay here for 5 nights. Our first visit to the island. Hotel was a lovely location, just off the main road. But only a few mins walk to shops, restaurant and beach. Pool was nice, plenty of sunbeds to go around (although we were very early in the season.) Breakfast was reasonable with some hot cold food to choose from. But what raised it above and beyond was excellent service from the team. Wendy and Kostas were especially helpful, friendly and chatty, but also a shout out to Theo and Arris. Well recommended with lots of repeat guests going back multiple times.

The Melidron is a lovely friendly hotel with wonderful staff. The hotel is very comfortable and very convenient for the beach, the supermarket and the restaurants. We hope to stay at the Melidron again very soon.

So many return to this family run hotel, if you want peace and quite and a convenient location you cannot go wrong . Within yards of the sea but away from the noise of the road. Great value and Wendy on reception cannot do enough if help is needed. Large rooms with safe and air condition.

I have spent time here with my son and me. The place is just next to one of the best beaches on the island. The towns center is only 5 minutes away by foot. I want to thank all the staff, especially Penelope who has been amazing with my three yearold son. The room had a balcony and was big enough for 3 people. There is a pool with a bar where you can have a nice drink after a day at the beach. The only drawback, as an Italian, is the fact that the only coffee is americano in the brunch. I would have loved an espresso or a cappuccino.

What a pleasure to stay here. A family-run, small hotel where no one can do enough for you. The hotel is clean and the rooms are cleaned daily. The room is directly overlooking the pool and with a perfect sea view. The swimming pool, although a little cold, was immaculate. Breakfast was basic but plenty of it and fresh. A short stroll across the rod to the beach and a 5-minute walk into town. Food is served between AM and RPM and the bar stays open until AM. I can't fault this hotel and will definitely be back.

We wouldn't think twice about staying in Sala but this was our second time at Melidron. Wendy was very welcoming and accommodating when she welcomed you at the front desk. She explains everything about air conditioning, keycard eating, and breakfast hours. Ours was spacious, cool, and clean, with air conditioning. The pool is a reasonable size and has a bar run by Theo, Alex, and Penelope. They are really friendly and you will not wait for a cold beer. The meals are equally delicious, and lunchtime menus are fairly diverse. When we went boat trips and after departing for the return journey, Bremen serves breakfast. There are a lot of repeat customers because Melidron is so excellent. In 2018, we met a few people who were there with us and who we recognized and they did us, which was pleasant. Anyone visiting Sala who wants a really nice, clean, and welcoming hotel should definitely book this hotel.

Melidron exceeded our expectations in every way. The hotel's proximity to the beach and the village center are both within walking distance of 2 minutes and the village centre is only a 5 minute walk, the friendliness of the entire team, a modest but gorgeous pool, a fantastic poolside bar with amazing cocktails and cold beer served by caring employees. A simple breakfast by the pool is enjoyable, and the room is roomy. Of course, we did enjoy interacting with the locals, but I must admit that it was wonderful to have a friendly and helpful Wendy at the front desk looked after us. Our flight from Stanstead was 11 a.m., so the hotel was compelled to be full. It was no issue that we could use the hotel facilities as usual, with towels provided, and Wendy set up a shower room for us before dinner. Such attention to detail and excellent customer service made this hotel extraordinary. Many guests appeared to be repeaters, and even they were friendly! Our family of two teenage children had a wonderful place to settle at Sala. They were thrilled with the hotel's location because they could freely roam the village beach by themselves. Although popular and sometimes described as overcrowded, the main sala beach was also a surprise because the water was crystal clear and abundant in fish! Such a wonderful stay. Wendy, Melanie, and the team. We will return

We had a wonderful time at the Melidron hotel in Kefalonia. It is a family-run, cozy, and welcoming hotel, and the employees go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They all go out of their way to get to know your name, and are incredibly helpful. Before we arrived, I was in contact with Wendy to arrange hotel transfers, which she was very pleased to help with. It was our first time in Kefalonia, and Wendy was fantastic at giving recommendations for places to visit and activities. Sala beach is only around the corner from the hotel, and finding space was never a problem. The hotel also has a lovely outdoor pool with a lovely view overlooking the beach. Our 5-year-old loved the pool, which is suitable for both adults and children. Theo and his father run the bar, and they always made a point of remembering your order. After having dinner in the evening, having somewhere to relax was fantastic. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and they were cleaned every day. I will definitely recommend the Melidron to family and friends, our stay was great. We didn't want to return home! Thank you to everyone at the Melidron for making us feel so welcome.

First and foremost, the staff were exceptional! The hotel rooms have seen better days, but we had everything we needed. The beach was down a side road and across the street, and there were restaurants within a short walk. The breakfast was ok, the AC did its job, the bed and pillows were not terrible. What I loved was that the staff was super accommodating, and allowed us to use the pool late into the night, which was welcome during the heat wave in Skala.
