Great place to stay! Dimitra and Vicky were incredibly friendly and helpful. Complimentary beer, water, nespresso coffee, plus mocktails and a welcome bottle of wine in my room. I ordered breakfast and it was delivered to my room so I enjoyed it on my balcony. The rooftop is beautiful and has an amazing view. I would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional stay! What truly makes The Square Hotel by X&N stand out is the people. Every member of staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, nothing was too much trouble. From check-in to checkout, the service felt personal and effortless. The room was spotless and the location great, but it’s the outstanding team that will bring us back. Highly recommended!

I absolutely loved my stay at The Square Hotel by X&N! The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, I slept so well. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made the experience even better. The location is fantastic and everything felt seamless. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

I've never stayed in such a unique hotel. On one hand, it's not luxurious but very clean, and on the other hand, I felt like a king thanks to their special service. They serve a variety of special coffees for free! There's even excellent local beer, also complimentary with no limits. There's a magic about the place that I can't quite explain. I will definitely return; it's worth every £.

I usually do not write reviews for anything but, this was a great property that I ended up at because a previously booked hotel did not have my reservation. It is in an area that is about no more than a 30 minute walk from most tourist attractions and the staff is so amazingly kind.

Nice hotel in Athens. Was initially tricky to find as it does not pop up when you google the name, and theres another hotel in Athens with a very similar name. Quite confusing. Free water bottles/juice along with nespresso coffee was real nice. Air conditioning worked well. Shower was not as nice as I was hoping for (small, awkward shower head placement for the space, poor water pressure) but overall got the job done. Staff is super kind and helpful/responsive on whatsapp. I would return to this place in Athens for a place to.sleep.

Hotel wasn’t as shown in pictures. The bathrooms wall and door has paint falling off at the bottom. The shower was incredibly tiny and the shower curtain was very uncomfortable to shower with. I could barely move. The room was clean but I definitely expected more from this hotel. It just seemed like a clean grandmas home that was deteriorated. I would recommend relishing these rooms because as a guest even if it’s 1 night stay of 10 days stay, no matter where you are, you want to feel comfortable and don’t want to have any unexpected surprises. The room was clean and staff was friendly, however the condition of the room caught my family and I by surprise. There was also a lot of noise throughout the night. This hotel is right in the center of the city, but seems like the walls were soundproof which is understandable. I just mention this incase some guests appreciate a comfortable and silent sleep.

Room was not as advertised. Shower didn't work correctly. One of the bedroom door l9cks were broke and I was locked inside the bedroom if I closed the door all the way. Was NOT is the part of town that was advertised.

The bedding and bed were of poor quality, the neighborhood seemed a little unsafe and 2 cab drivers confirmed that the neighborhood was dicey. It was loud and the room was warm and stuffy, I was unable to open the window.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to be honest here because I rely heavily on accurate reviews when booking hotels—and this one did not live up to what was advertised. First, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. It honestly felt like sleeping on a cot rather than a proper mattress, which made it very difficult to get any real rest. The bathroom was another major issue. It was extremely small, and the shower was so cramped that you couldn’t move without constantly bumping into the knobs and accidentally turning the water off. It made something as simple as showering frustrating. Several advertised amenities were also missing. There was no TV or hairdryer, despite both being listed online. Additionally, the “airport shuttle” was misleading—it was just a taxi, not a hotel-provided service as implied. The elevator was also shockingly small. It was so tight that my husband and I couldn’t fit together with our luggage—we had to go separately, which was inconvenient and frustrating. The surrounding neighborhood also did not feel safe or welcoming. There was a noticeable amount of graffiti and a visible homeless presence, which gave the area a run-down, uncomfortable vibe. Overall, I find it very hard to believe that the current reviews accurately reflect the reality of this hotel. Based on my experience, I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.

The room was ok, and the staff was very attentive. However the neighborhood was extremely loud at night, loud music and crowd noise until 4:30am. Wish we had known. Would never stay here again. We will register a complaint with Expedia and request a refund. VERY disappointed!!!!!
