I stayed simply because I had a 13 hour layover. With the instructions, the place is not hard to find. The host was very very helpful, even when I was late for my check-in. He carefully explained to me how to use the amenities and even how to take the bus back in the early morning for the airport. He’s very knowledgeable on local transportation. I would definitely stay here again. One thing, though, I was only travelling with a backpack, so it wasn’t too difficult to walk through the forest to the location. If you have big luggage, it might prove a little tiresome to get there. Just something to keep in mind for travellers. Also, I used a blue taxi from the airport to get there and the bus to get back. As the host recommended, if you are travelling light, it’s better to take the bus.

Exceptionally clean with basic amenities and free teabags. 12-min walk to the bus station that connects to Tung Chung Station. Host provided detailed instructions for arrival and sightseeing options. didn't explore since my partner couldn't come to Hong Kong due to his mum having succumbed. just passed the free cancellation period. advise choosing 'pay at hotel' if needed.

The owner was very kind and offered many good tips on hoe to get around, including a bus schedule for nearby stops, and a map of the surrounding areas and how to walk or arrive there. Once we found the drop off point, it was easy to see the signs pointing the way to the guesthouse.

Very well signposted from the bus stop. A pleasant change for my last night in HK from the bustle of downtown central and Kowloon. An easy bus ride to the airport. Terry will go the extra mile with details and photos to help you find your way around. A nice sleep and a short, painless early morning trip to catch my flight.

Very close to the airport for taxi or easy cheap bus transport. Basic clean room with wonderful shared facilities. The walk from transport is absolutely beautiful, lush and tropical. There is a lovely green outdoor area to sit in or an upstairs terrace with fantastic city and mountain views. Best of all is Terry, the owner. He is so friendly and welcoming and explains everything you could want to know about transport, shops and the area in general. It was such a bonus staying here.

Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich. Er gibt sich sehr viel Mühe, gibt Tipps zu Busverbindungen, Restaurants etc. Einen wunderschönen Ausblick und in Ruhigen Lage mit viel Natur rundherum.

City oasis guesthouse might be small but thats what you get in Hong Kong! The owner is absolutely amazing and the view is beautiful! Highly recommend you to stay here when visiting! $860 for two weeks! I love it

I would return with friends for hikes or even a bedside! We had a wonderful holiday weekend. It took us about 35 minutes to walk from Mar, but we loved it and the weather wasn't too hot. Taxis or buses are available. Although you can't drive into the village, it took less than 10 minutes and had paved so we didn't have any trouble carrying our luggage along. The room was clean, bright, and spacious. The roof is a nice size with stunning views and not too tiny at all, and they even provide you with a hotpot up there if you wanted to. Terry was a wonderful host. He told us where to eat, take buses, see local attractions, and go hiking.

Don't expect to see many tourists here. However, it was a good location if you want to go on the cable car to tian tan giant buddha and lin lin monetary temples you can get there by bus from here. Not many local shops, but more a bus ride away. We shopped at one of the local supermarkets for our food.

I absolutely adored this location. I feel really on vacation. Terry, the guesthouse's host, is incredibly pleasant and well-versed in the area. At the back of the door is a map listing options for transportation and tourist attractions. But, if you ask terry, he will reply to you. You will receive an email before you arrive detailing your options for transportation to this location and what you may have to bring. This really relieves your anxieties. This location is located in the center of a number of hiking paths. It is a treat, therefore. The room we were in had a patio where we could sit outside and it is bright and airy. The bed is very comfortable and roomy. Free WiFi is available, as are slippers, shower gel, and shampoo. It is excellent to wake up to a chorus of birds and butterflies flying around. There is a roof where you may use and chill, as well as a bedside table if you have a large group. This was fantastic! Would undoubtedly return. The kitchen is amazing. Beautifully designed. However, you can always go to a nearby restaurant to eat instead of cooking.

Only stayed overnight during a long layover to elsewhere but it was lovely to walk there over bridges and through forest to the sound of frogs. Terry was great at giving me directions to the bus back to the airport in morning and saved me about HK$80. In fact gave me the HK$4 bus fare. My only complaint a small but loud frog just outside my room disturbing my sleep a little.

The room was clean. The host was very helpful with instructions on how to get to around. There’s a short walk from the main to the guesthouse. Despite the ongoing construction, we had no trouble finding it. Short, but pleasant stay. Would recommend.
