⚠️ 5 STARS FOR VISIBILITY ONLY - URGENT WARNING ⚠️ AVOID: "Hi-Inn" & "Hostel Venus" in Chungking Mansions, Tsim Sha Tsui in southern Kowloon, HK. Giving 5 stars ONLY so this warning appears first. Worst accommodation experience ever. Save your money and sanity. Hong Kong has countless better options. You've been warned. THE SCAM: Booked 'Hostel Venus'—upon arrival, manager demanded I take 'Hi-Inn' room instead (same operator runs both names, worse location). When questioned, rudely told my booked room was "given to someone else." Said I could get refund and find another hotel - this was late afternoon when options are limited (intentional). Later refused refund. I immediately booked elsewhere and left. Best decision made. THE REALITY: No matter how nice photos look, these are in Chungking Mansions - a 65-year-old (built 1961) poorly maintained complex. Reality vs photos: Extremely dated, maze-like interior Floors 1-2: chaotic cramped shops Upper floors: countless tiny budget guesthouses Nothing like the clean exterior photos shown online ROOM CONDITIONS: Poor cleaning standards Overwhelming air freshener smell Ancient, deafeningly loud A/C Microscopic bathroom - NO separation between shower/toilet (everything floods when showering) Windows reveal 65 years of grime on building exterior BOTTOM LINE: Operator runs multiple properties (Hi-Inn, Hostel Venus, likely more) using deceptive practices. Rude staff. Misleading photos. Building conditions shocking.

The location of the hotel is really nice, it is located at the centre of the city. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. There are also many tourist attractions there too. The rooms are nice and cozy as well, with individual bathrooms attached to it.

staff are friendly, with elevator so pushing my luggage is much easier, if the bedding is clean with freeze scene and towel is not with holes that will be even better. will seriously consider to come again.

The rooms is superb clean , strong wifi , excellent location easy to access everywhere, what need can b found inside the room like hair dryer , slipper, refrigerator, Safty box etc, Joni is helpful staff , I like and loved everything in Venus Definitely will come back in future and highly recommended to every body who visit to Hong Kong

Well and new decorated, I loved everything the room expected small but enough for us, nice staff . Strong wifi free distilled water, in side room have refrigerator, safe box, hairdryer inside the room, will come back sure in future and highly recommend to all visitors I love Venus and like it place

The location is the heart of the area, lots of shopping malls and so many different kind of restaurants, and just few mint walking to shopping and restaurants and also near by sea and star ferry and most important very near to metro station and easily can go every where, and airport bust stop EE 21 to airport so I going to give 5/5

Free welcome drink when arrival, accommodating & helpful staff, their boss is very funny and interesting, guided me how to enjoy the sightseeing in HK. The location is excellent, easy to access to everywhere like Star Ferry, many famous shopping mall like iSquare, K11, Ocean Ternminal, Harbour City, etc. Room is very clean but everything can be found like hair dryer, slipper, fringe, safety box, etc. No doubt to recommend Hotel Venus to everybody
