Lovely hotel. Great location. Breakfast area a bit chaotic, especially when a number of young children. You feel rushed to make decision and end up not altogether satisfied.

Location, location, location! This has been one of the best hotels in Europe we have ever stayed. The location was perfect! The breakfast was good. And the room was very spacious and clean!!! Would definite stay here if we ever return to Budapest.

Many hotels in Budapest are in a good location. Basiliq is in the perfect location. The staff was so helpful to us from the very beginning of the stay to the very end. Great, great staff, especially at the front desk. The young man who checked us in went above and beyond in helping us. I feel bad I forget the spelling of his name. The hotel was nice and quiet and the excellent air conditioning during a very hot summer was much appreciated. We forgot that breakfast was included so that was a pleasant surprise. The variety and quality of the food was top-notch and constantly being replenished. We were even offered champagne at breakfast by a member of the staff.

The staff at reception was very kind and helpful and conveniently booked some tickets like the cruise for us. Our 3-people room (bedroom and lounge) was spacious and air conditioned very efficient. The parking they offered from another hotel is very expensive , there is lots of off street parking which is free 10pm to 8am.

Traveled here for our anniversary trip and we are glad we chose the BasiliQ. The hotel is beautiful, clean, service and staff are very friendly and nice. The hotel's location is amazing. It's right next to St. Stephens Basicla. There are a ton of restaurants and dessert places few feet away, even a Lidl. We did walk pretty much everywhere. If you're from a country that uses Uber, it's connected to their Taxi service. We used that to get to further places. Staff - we were checked in by Flora and she was wonderful along with rest of the staff. I wish I remembered all their names, but they truly were wonderful and kind. Room - very convenient and nice sized. We had a double bed room. Mattress were wonderful, you can even request memory foam pillows. We had an inside room (court yard facing) and was very quiet. We loved the spacious room and didn't feel cramped. There is a kettle, espresso/coffee maker, and a cooler in the room. Breakfast - I posted pictures of the breakfast buffet. Food overall was very good. You had the variety of veggies, eggs, yogurt, donuts and other sweets, juices, tea, coffee, and bread as well. We enjoyed breakfast every morning! Bar- Hotel gives you 2 complimentary drinks, you can only use that for limited drinks. Cool part is they give you 20% off your bill if you're a guest. Lovely hotel, we would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for 5 nights in room 2209 in block 2. Our stay was close to perfection in a fantastic location. At all times the staff in the reception was courteous and very helpful as well as highly professional.. A free welcome drink was offered to each one of us in the bar - a nice touch. Free cold drinks were on offer in the foyer with pastries and snacks which was very welcomed in the heatwave. Breakfast consisted of a great choice, was a little chaotic at busy times but considering the variety on offer and the shape of the restaurant it was well managed. The room itself was immaculate, clean, well designed, the shower and aircon worked perfectly and the bed was so comfortable - 10/10. Note that this room was right above a noisy bar which played a variety of music from soft guitar to loud party pop. It finished promptly at 11pm every day. All in all, a perfect stay and we will stay again if we are in Budapest again.

Fantastic location at St. Stephens square and walk distance to all sites, wonderful tasty breakfast, top-notch staff (Patrik went over and above). Absolutely stay here if visiting Budapest, you won't be disappointed!

From the moment we arrived, the staff could not have been more helpful especially David on the front desk who secured us a beautiful room upgrade overlooking the square from the second night onwards, the waiting staff and housekeeping team were equally warm and attentive. Quite simply, lovely people, and that’s what makes all the difference. The hotel itself is brand new, having opened in April 2026, so everything is in immaculate condition. The design throughout is wonderful: tartan carpets, thoughtful lighting, a welcoming scent, and a comfortable air-conditioned interior that works equally well as a social or relaxing space. Breakfast was very good, and throughout the day a small selection of drinks and cakes was available, which was a nice touch. The staff were smiling and welcoming from 7am, which sets the tone for the day beautifully. 😁 The location is also excellent, with many of the main attractions within easy reach. We stayed for nine days, and would we come back? Without a doubt. 🙂

We loved our stay here! The location was perfect- being by the basilica allowed us endless cafe and shop options, a close walk to Liberty Square, the river and Parliament. We even walked back from Buda Castle across the bridge through the city- it was gorgeous. The staff was helpful and kind, it was a good breakfast included, and the room was spacious! Which is a real win for Europe in the summer. We highly recommend staying here- we miss it already!
