Nice modern hotel, good room, free breakfast was good, lots of stairs & long walk to our room. We just stayed one night so didnt use the sport facilities but they looked great.

A Wellness részleg kellemes. Összességében jóléreztük magunkat.

Mind a hotel (beleértve a wellness- és étterem részleget is), mind a személyzet hibátlan volt. A szobák szépek, igényesek, kényelmesek és tiszták. A recepción kedvesek, segítőkészek.

Hotel Makar has excellent service, very good position in quite and green part of Pecs and superb fitness facilities.

My husband and I recently visited Pecs and we were looking for a safe, clean, and quiet place to stay. Hotel Makar was EXACTLY that, and it was an unbeatable bargain!!! The staff was very courteous and accommodating - we had a reservation, but due to a flight delay, we got in a day late. I called the hotel reception and they were VERY accommodating; we didn't get charged extra for the night we missed. The facilities at the hotel are excellent - we were impressed to find an indoor racquet ball court and well-maintained indoor pool. Our room was private and cozy, and VERY clean. We also dined at the conveniently-located on-site restaurant several times - the food was delicious and the staff was very polite. Oh, and their breakfast buffet is probably the best in town, with LOTS of options (cereal, fresh pastries, eggs, yogurt, etc.) They even gave us home-made sandwiches for the road when we left, with authentic Hungarian kolbasz (salami). What other place does that?! Location-wise, the hotel is not very far from the city center (definitely a doable walk there and back). It is perfect for a relaxing, refreshing wellness visit or vacation stay. Overall, we felt like royalty at Hotel Makar, and we would definitely stay with them again.

For anyone with business at Pécs University or the football stadium, this hotel is near perfect. Great staff, lovely pool (25-degree water!) with plenty of natural light, fine spread for breakfast, in-room WiFi, sauna, even tennis courts. Spacious rooms, too. And, for the price, a steal. But if you're just staying in the city centre, seeing the sights, then this is just that bit too far from the action.

The hotel is a fantastic business and wellness hotel. The room was large and tidy, there was a shower and also a bathtub, and the toilet was separate. Thers is a small balcony with views of the city center of Pecs. The wellness area is amazing. The room was very hot and it was impossible to lower the temperature, also not with the help of staff. There was no wifi connection at all in the evening, none knew why. Wellness was too crowded, there were too many people inside. Breakfast was poor, it was almost like a continental type. Dinner was nice, but I waited 1 and a half hours for the food and it was incredible expensive.

It has tennis and squash, it is suitable for sports. The wellness part is extremely weak. Two of the five sounds were functional, the jacuzzi was very small, and there was only one pool for swimming rather than playing. Breakfast is at most a three-star rating. The rooms are large and spotless.

Overall, it's an average hotel with significantly better than average personnel in the absence of cleaning, it's pleasant for a few days, but I wouldn't go out of my way to purposefully return. With my buddy, we remained in the star area of the hotel, so this review focuses on that area. First and foremost, the room we had was huge, and it also had a balcony, which must have been wonderful during the summer. All the receptionists and the restaurant staff during breakfast were extremely pleasant and helpful. However, I was unable to say they were up to the task when it came to cleaning. Our room wasn't the cleanest I'd ever seen, and we had to separate ask either the cleaning staff or the receptionist to offer more shower gel and toilet paper, which appeared to have been unobserved when things were running out of our room. Yes, it is a minor matter, but sincerely, I don't like dealing with homeroom chores. We only enjoyed brunch at the hotel as far as the meal was concerned. I can't exactly elucidate the hotel's wellness section every time we walked down into the pool area because there was a baby swimming session going on, so we didn't feel like going into the middle of it. I'm not even sure if that would have been permitted. We saw a schedule
