The view from the property is amazing. We counted at least three different glaciers easily viewable from the back patio, which provides outside seating with really jaw-dropping scenery all around. The staff was friendly, and the meal we had on the property (dinner) was excellent. There is a thermal bath (Hoffel Baths) right up the road that was a treat for having a drink and enjoying a view of one of the Vatnajokull glaciers. We really enjoyed our stay at this place (happy hour especially) and would return here if driving the ring road again.

As an Expedia perk, our room was upgraded from an Economy Room to a Standard Room, which was a wonderful surprise. The room was clean, fresh, and smelled pleasant. The staff were exceptional—friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The food was also excellent and exceeded our expectations. The only minor issue was a slight pungent smell coming from the washroom whenever we opened the door. It may have been isolated to our room, but we hope the management can look into it. Other than that, we had a very enjoyable stay and would gladly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is located right of ring road, couldn't ask for better location. The front desk receptionist was very accommodating, kind and professional, fast check-in. We had drinks at the bar and a dinner.in the restaurant. Service was superb. Food was delicious, seafood soup best ever had. It was a very enjoyable evening. It's a new hotel, very modern, very clean, comfortable and we had a very good night sleep. Highly recommend this wonderful hotel and if ever in the area would definitely stay here.

We surprisingly got upgraded to suites on the ground floor. The room was huge with two walls of windows looking out to the mountains. They were understaffed but the staff that works there was working very hard and were very nice. It is a little far from the glacier. I couldn't figure out the weird glass hallway at first but it is the perfect place to see the Northern lights.

The only negative thing is the light switch at the head of the bed. If you prop up to read, you hit the switch turning the light on and off.
