Enjoyed my stay here. The hosts are very welcoming & helpful. Checkin is clear and also has Igdlo sign on building for easy find. Location is close to basically everything, and Bus 55, which saves over $25 round trip to KEF airport. The room and shared bathroom were always clean also. The rooms are small and the lighting not so bright, but overall it was fine, and a very good value for an expensive place like Iceland.

Always enjoy staying here. Owners are present and helpful. Met new people and it is quiet but yet close to shops - within walking distance. Close to BSI Terminal - arriving from Keflavík airport it is easy 15 min walk to Igdlo Guesthouse.

We didn't know what to expect but it was a very good place with comfortable beds and actually no extras. Shared bathroom worked out fine and it was a good place to stay for a reasonable price

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in early Sept, 2025. The host was a sweet teddy bear, the room (economy twin with private bath) was comfortable and clean with a nice kitchen outside the room. We didn't use the kitchen, but it looked fully stocked. It's very near the bus station (17 min walk), with a stop across the street, including HOHO. The only thing I wished was to have restaurants near by. There is a wonderful coffee shop (Brikk) an 8 min walk, but that's it. I'll definitely be staying here again!

Marvelously ramshackle hostel style accommodation! Dining room and kitchen were great and the free coffee and tea a god send. Less than a 10 minute walk to Hallgrímskirkja. A great budget option.

The television didn't pick up a broadcast on any channel, and the chess game on its app feature didn't allow any moves, but none of this was a serious problem. I have no other complaint about my accommodations at Igdlo.

After 2 weeks in Iceland, this was our favorite multi-room stay. Our rook had its own sink, mirror, table, and wall cubbies and a power strip by the bed! Showers were convenient and cabinets in kitchen all labeled. Staff was very welcoming and kind. They went out of their way helping us figure out a package that we had sent. Overall - Loved this place and would stay again if we make it back to Iceland!

I appreciated that the instructions for self check in was clear and easy to follow. The property, although old, was clean. It’s close to downtown Reykjavik and about a 10-15 minute to the BSI terminal to take the Fly Bus. It was easy to walk a few minutes to find food/grocery.
