The Milk Factory was such a fun surprise. Its rooms were bright and spacious for Icelandic standards. It was located close to sights in Hofn and easy to find right off the main road into town. The Milk Factory is a fantastic choice when staying in Hofn!

The name of the hotel was quite misleading. I had envisioned a cozy farmhouse setting with cows and milk buckets. Don’t get me wrong, I still appreciate the name! What impressed me most was the exceptional soundproofing of the room. From the outside, it seemed like a regular room, but inside, it was completely silent. Our room was conveniently located right in front of the cafeteria entrance. I woke up at 9 am and spent about 20 minutes getting ready before heading out. Initially, I assumed that the hotel didn’t provide breakfast or that we were the only non-empty room. However, my assumptions were completely wrong as soon as I opened the door. The dining room was not crowded, but there were still at least four or five groups of people enjoying their meals. There was even music playing from the check-in area, but we didn’t hear a single note inside our room. Looking out the window, we could see the horses grazing on the farm on the side. The breakfast food appeared plain, but I thoroughly enjoyed my slice of toast with Nutella. It struck me then that I was missing the flavors of non-Nordic cuisine.

Menu’ colazione non molto vario ma fresco. Ottimo lo skyr fresco e la torta di carote e cannella. E’ organizzato come un normale hotel con la reception e le stanze disposte intorno alla sala colazione. Molto pulito, ampio per 4 persone, con soppalco.

Omg the place was incredible. Super clean,looks new and everything. Breakfast was amazing and the view from the room was spectacular! Recommended! Also there is a trail near so you can run or walk with a espectacular view! Enjoy!
