The reception and dining area are exceptionally good. The breakfast was first class. Compliments to the chef. The rooms are a good average - clean and tidy. Location central to key attractions. Ticks plenty of boxes.

Astoria hotel was a haven of calm in the busy Area of Churchgate. We couldn’t fault the service, breakfast was great and the hotel provided a good base to explore South Mumbai.

The hotel is located at a very convenient and centrally located only 5 min walk to Churchgate station. Flora Fountain and Nariman Point sea front 15 to 20 minute walk. the staff at the hotel are helpful and polite. The breakfast served is mostly Indian but boiled eggs and omelletes of your choice is prepared and served by staff at your table.The staff at the reception, dinning area and the cleaners are pleasant and helpful. My stay at the hotel was very good and this is why I returned here again.

Our stay at the hotel felt like being at home. The staff were courteous and helpful. A good selection of Indian and continental breakfast was served everyday. The hotel is conveniently located close to Churchgat train station and a short distance from the buzzing Flora Fountain with a selection of good shops and street traders offering menswear and household goods. I enjoyed my stay hence already booked a few more days!👌😀

The staff were very nice, and the room was fine. A decent room for the price. The only flaw in our experience was that the hotel was not able to take a cash payment of 2000 rupees for a 1500 rupee meal, because they 'didn't have change'. This created a need for us to pay with credit card, which we didn't want to do. Otherwise, the food was outstanding at the restaurant, and the hotel was very nice. Great location near the terminus of one of the main subway lines, too!

This was my first visit to India. I had two free days in Mumbai after a business trip in the north of the state. I looked for a hotel with a good location and reasonable reviews.I eventually settled for the Astoria. I arrived at around 10.00pm and was informed that my room had been upgraded. A great start. The room was a very spacious and comfortable suite with all the usual amenities including a very comfortable bed and great pillows. The wi-fi connection is reliable and good.The location is excellent and there are several "must see" heritage sights within minutes walking distance from the hotel.Even the Gateway to India is a comfortable 15-20 minute walk. The hotel staff are very quick to respond if anything is wrong. I thought that I had a problem with the TV and air conditioning. On both occasions a member of staff came immediately. On both occasions I had simply not used the correct switch!! I ate in the hotel restaurant on two of my three evenings. I tried the buffet which was reasonably priced and although the choice was more limited than in higher grade hotels, the food was very good. I also tried the Goan fish curry off the a la carte menu which was excellent. Staff in the restaurant are efficient,courteous and friendly. I cannot speak too highly of the reception staff. They were very professional and helpful throughout my stay. On my last day they ordered me a taxi for the airport. I left the hotel at 7.00am to get my flight at 9.45am. When I arrived at the airport,

Big clean room, staff helpful. Decent breakfast. Excellent location. Could do with replacing the windows. The room was recently refurbished but the windows are very old and ill fitting.
