Ginger Mysore hotel proved to be a very good choice for our family trip during the last week of Dec.2013. The check in was smooth and fast. The Manger, Mr Sunil was very kind and courteous and was guiding every new visitor to Mysore with travel tips. The only downside was the non-functional wi-fi. However, the whenever I approached the front desk staff permitted me to access internet through their office systems. I did not feel the absence of wi-fi.The hotels.com booking site does not forewarn about the absence of complimentary breakfast at the booking window. There was a huge embarrassment when my Malaysian guests went to have their breakfast and were asked to pay for their breakfast. They found it fishy,believing the conventional practice of "complimentary breakfast". When the matter was raised, both the restaurant staff and the counter staff clarified the position in a polite manner and said the booking did not include complimentary breakfast. However, when we extended our stay for a day due to non-availability of confirmed train tickets for our return journey, the manger was kind enough to compensate the above with a complimentary breakfast for all the members on the last day of stay. Contrary to popular belief, the room alloted to us was not small.I strongly recommend Ginger Mysore for those who are keen to get good value for money, clean rooms and great service.

Our stay was extremely comfortable and well worth the rate charged. Everything was perfect especially the room and attached bathroom. Two separate beds in the room was a bit of a damper though. Should have a system where they can be joined together. Top marks to the hotel. The buffet in the restaurant was also worth it. Had lunch and dinner there.

Very nice stay. We stayed in the hotel in dec2011. We were visiting mysore. Its a very nice hotel situated in a convenient location. We needed to cover the important tourist places in mysore. The hotel has peopple who arranged for the tour .It was a private vehicle at a very nominal cost. We enjoyed our trip. The hotel facilities, the roomservice, clean restrooms, everything was beyand our expectations.

Hotel will suit those transiting through Mysore or for a short stay. Location is very nice and so is cleanliness. Good value for money. I stayed twice. travel desk is value add. Parking is a benefit.

Comfortable,no non-sense stay. Very close to the zoo and located fairly centrally in the city. Breakfast is good, though we did not have it in our package. All in all, good value for money property for a night halt in Mysore.

3 stars hotel, relatively cheap and tidy. Personal is friendly and helpful. Restaurant is simple, only for food. No alcohol. Coffee is reasonably good. Secured by police. There is transportation desk, they can organise a taxi.

We chose this hotel from the reviews on Trip-Advisor, and for the price we were not disappointed. The rooms were clean and perfect for a weekend visit to Mysore, while we were on business in Bangalore. There is a restaurant with basic but cheap and good Indian buffet and a small selection of "western" items such as toast, cereal etc. both for breakfast and evening. As well there is a small Café Coffee Day outlet in the foyer which serves toasted sandwiches, cakes, coffee, tea and milk shakes. Also quite a good store that is open in the late afternoon and evening which sells postcards and souvenirs. You can get some good bargains if you're prepared to haggle a little :o) We initially had a few small problems with the check in as the hotel could not find the record which said our bill had been prepaid, so this meant we waited for more than an hour to get our room, however everything worked out in the end and we could sit in the café while we waited.
