The staff is extremely polite and kind. You will never regret choosing Kapil hotel for your future stays. The rooms are properly maintained and hygiene is the top priority. The services were amazing and you will never get a chance to point out any flaw because the property, the location and most important the human resource is extremely wonderful.

I booked to stay for 5 days at the Hotel Kapil. My room was simply stunning. No other way to put it. The bed was so comfortable and warm, the room and the bathroom were spotless. The view from my window was epic; an endless vista over the valley and far off mountains. The staff go out of their way to welcome you and make sure your every comfort is attended to. Room service food was delicious and served with a smile. Plenty of hot water available throughout my stay. Tea and coffee making facilities included in the room. This hotel was quite possibly the best place I stayed in during my entire 3 month tour of India. Thank you to all the team and Namaste 🙏

Excellent staff, very comfortable bed with good views. There is no parking and the hotel is situated at a bottom of a hill and it’s a 20 minute hard walk to Main Street. That said, it was good exercise. But it is a good hotel apart from location.

This hotel is a little away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of town but is all the better for that. It was welcoming and comfortable. We booked a superior room with mountain view which was well worth it.The room rates are very reasonable. The room was very comfortable, clean and the shower was great, powerful hot and clean. Staff were pleasant and attentive and in house food was good, portions large so don’t over order! . I would highly recommend this hotel, it is a quality hotel at a very reasonable price. Would be happy if all hotels in India met this standard!

Stayed for 3 nights, very impressed with the room, was extremely clean and comfortable. The view from our room was amazing. Service was 5 star, staff are very freindly, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent food and Chai. Highly recommended this hotel.

Remarkably peaceful location away from the maelstrom, yet only ten minutes' walk to the Ridge through Lakkar Bazaar. Lovely people running the place, and everso helpful. Beautiful clean room with glorious views. A must!

Small hotel but the rooms are well equipped. A great view from room window. The center of Shimla is about a 15 mintue walk uphill via Lakkar Bazar

Staff helpful and polite. Bedroom had fab valley views. No resteraunt room service only food was good. Room cold could have a heater for 300 rupees.However bed had electric blanket.

Lovely cup of tea on arrival. Tea and coffee in room. Staff extremely helpful. Room a little dated but more than made up by amenities. Lovely food in room dining. Complimentary lift up the first hill to the Ridge (without this the walk up would have been too much for us as everything is on a hill in Shimla). Hairdryer (near mirror - how many times is it not!!!!). Taxi driver who took us on trip to Mt Hatu excellent driver. A must do trip for around 3000 rupees. All in all an excellent experience.

We stayed there for our honeymoon in December.I am writing the review for the hotel under the various areas. 1. Location: The Hotel is located a few steps below Mall Road(Lakkar Bazaar), means you can reach mall road in around 10 minutes from this hotel on foot.It is located near Radisson Hotel (for those who go there first time, Radisson is the landmark to reach the hotel).Proper parking is available for Cars,etc. 2. Rooms: We stayed in Super Deluxe Room. The room was very good, all facilities of hot water etc were available. Electric Kettle was provided to us for making Tea/Coffee 24*7 whenever we wanted. Haridryer was also provided in bathroom. Overall we were very happy with the room and the ambience. The view from the room was awesome.Electric Blanket was there although we wanted a room heater to heat the room but it was not available. 3. Food: The food was good and economical. The items on the menu were the usual ones but the quatity was more than sufficient in the order. 4. Service: The room service was also very good and quick. The reception persons were very soft spoken and responded to all our queries very quickly. Overall we will highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Shimla.
