We had a marvelous stay at the Residency. Nice room, good air con. Great location. Great breakfast. But it is the staff that make this hotel. They are wonderful, they make a good hotel into a truly wonderful one. Highly recommended

I stayed at this hotel for the third time in March 2024 and it was just as amazing as the previous two occasions (2014 and 2018). This time, too, they recognized me the second I stepped into the lobby. The staff are fantastic, helpful and with a big smile on their faces. Unfortunately the restaurant was no longer open (except for breakfast) but I got tips on other restaurants nearby. Thank you for another pleasant stay with you. See you next time I'm in Mumbai.

I really enjoyed our stay here. The service was excellent. The hotel breakfast was fantastic with eggs made to order available, as well as barista made coffee, and all the usual breakfast items. The room was clean and comfortable, with dove soap and shampoo available. The hotel itself is sliiightly dated but it was still a lovely stay and wonderful by Indian standards. Bathroom had good hot water.

The hotel staff are second to none. Kimd. Friendly. Helpful. Area is walkable and so many interesting shops and delicious restaurants. Breakgast in the restaurant is always great. Kesar makes and doews foam art on cappuccinos! Rakesh the concierge, is so kind you will not want to leave. Try Annas Idly restaurant. You cant go wrong staying at the Residency Hotel.

Hotel is 10 minutes from Mumbai cruise terminal and located central to many shopping and tourist hubs. You can walk in all directions and will find things. The Crawford market is about 20 mins walk All hotel staff are helpful and service was impeccable all around. They can exchange currency there. Breakfast was good too. They work hard to keep the hotel clean and enjoyable. There is also elevator. Reception staff (Peter +) really nice folks and F& Bev staff are excellent. Keep it up guys and Thank you. Seen you again. Fully recommended

Really good standard of accommodation in superb position for walkable trips around Mumbai tourist areas. Metro works nearby to the hotel are on going but didn't really affect sleep. Helpful and friendly staff and the section that we were in (next door to the main entrance, so rooms start with a 7), had recently been refurbished. Try nearby Burma Burma for a too notch meal.

The staff was so incredibly helpful. We had 2 serious issues, one with a tour and one with our next hotel. The staff made calls for us and helped us understand what needed to be done. When we went for a local dinner, a staff member took us 2 blocks to the restaurant and spoke with the owner to treat us well. We had to leave our bags when we left for the tour and they kept them safe and took them to our room when it became ready. Concierge Rajesh was exceptionally helpful many times. They worked harder to help us and make us feel comfortable in a very different environment than we're used to. 5 star hotels have not done a much as they did. If we ever in Mumbai again, we will for sure book here.

Highly recommend this hotel. The staff are exceptional - friendly, helpful, and professional. The hotel is walking distance or easy taxi/rickshaw to shopping, cafe's, restaurants, and sight-seeing locations. The room was clean, tidy and quiet. Breakfast was excellent and they have a coffee machine! Free newspaper and afternoon tea. They can exchange money, cheap laundry next door, help with getting taxi's and airport pick up/drop off.

Residency’s reception staff – Lawrence, Peter, Sushant, Mr.Patil, Toral & others are extremely accommodating. The Hotel's motto is 'Come as a guest, leave as a friend' & while leaving, I did feel I was waving goodbye to a friend! Keshav’s addressing me Madamji and waiting on me from day1 at breakfast time & evening Masala Chai times was service with a smile & a good heart! Balwant too was a gem! The Complimentary breakfast with Chef Girish in charge is indeed very sumptuous & caters for all tastes & appetites. I mustn’t forget the ever helpful & courteous Rajesh - If you needed transport, Rajesh would very kindly help you book it or hail it! Room necessities like loo rolls, fresh towels, bottles of water were always readily available thanks to cleaners Saahil & Shivam! I could have stayed with relatives but I wanted to experience Mumbai as a tourist and Residency proved to be the right choice for me for a comfortable, safe & a very happy stay; a longer stay than most guests – 14 days!

Cannot recommend enough. The staff are the most adorable and kindest people. So welcoming and friendly. Very clean. Basic but simple, no frills and perfect for a rest and shower after a day sightseeing. Complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious. Six weeks travelling in India, best service and lovely cosy hotel. Convenient location in the Fort area of Mumbai.
