We booked for 5 day's, I wish we could have booked for longer, the whole experience was so relaxing. Our cottage had a sea view so we fell asleep and woke up to the sound of the ocean. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Parveen, the housekeeping supervisor, who would check daily that everything was okay and sort out the smallest problem straightaway.

I had a great time at Manaltheeram Beach Resort. They made my stay a remarkable one. The staff were very nice and very attentive. The manager was excellent. In general, good hotel with great people. I'd stay there again.

This property is very beautiful, but somewhat remote. The huts do not have A/C, but the fan and the ocean breeze meant this was not a problem. The grounds are situated in a palm tree grove on a cliff top over looking a secluded endless beach. If your looking for a place to totally relax and spend hours in a hammock listening to the waves crash on the beach, this is the place. You can get a taxi to take you to the tourist areas in town for dinner and shopping, for around 700 round trip with wait time included. We enjoyed my stay. Only complaint was that our stay ended too soon.

I think the hotel has already a long reputation that says all. Hotel is overlooking a private beach, but the whole beach stretch also extends a lot further. Went in October and didn't feel it was much crowded. Bungalow and the whole setting are nice, I would recommend getting an intermediate price one, the cheapest looked a bit small. Hotel staff is extremely nice and welcoming. Surroundings are not great, a long small road to the main road in slope, with few cheap tourist shops. Therefore the hotel staff was really helpful to book cabs for 4~5 hours per day to go to the nearby spots/cities. Highly recommended.

Had a perfect 3 days of relaxation- we stayed in a separate "hut" with hatched roof, bathroom included, equipped with ceiling fan, large enough to accommodate also bed for my daughter. Even though we were there in August, it was sunny, except a few short showers. Staff was friendly and answered all our requests. This resort is intended for complete catering to visitors needs, there is little reason to go anywhere, food served both buffet style and a la carte is tasty, most of it Indian and spicy, but my daughter who doesn't like that kind of food found plenty of things she liked. Enjoyed Ayurvedic massages and facial. Hotel organized nice 2 hour outing to nearby "backwaters" where we were taken in a boat around canals seeing wildlife.

Hotellet är rent, vackert och servicen är fantastisk. Minus är dock att det kan vara rätt tiggartätt utanför hotellet vilket gör att detta välkända hotell starkt tar avstånd från tiggare, andra taxibolag än sitt egna osv. Det innebär lite högre kostnader om du ber hotellet boka taxi osv. Men det är såpass billigt ändå att det inte gör något. Hotellet har mycket "behandlingar" över längre perioder för sina gäster så många har helpension här och de säljer gärna sina bufféer för lunch och middag. Men för den som inte vill ha ayurvedamat av ett ganska nyttigt slag får inte alltid veta direkt om A la carte-menyn som dessutom är väldigt mycket billigare än buffén. Hotellet har fantastisk service. Poolen var lite bristande men vad gör det när havet ligger precis nedanför? Med egna gratis solstolar, badvakt och handdukar! Ett superhotell om du vill ha det ganska lyxigt. Jag blev även sjuk under min vistelse och fick fantastisk hjälp till sjukhuset samt en person med mig ifrån hotellet som hjälpte till med alla formaliteter på sjukhuset. Superservice. Det enda du betalar för är taxiresan - inget alls för hjälpen.

We are a family of five. We stayed here for Christmas and were all very pleased with the resort. The grounds are immaculate and the property ideal. The resort is very private, located on a hillside with stunning views of the sea. The beach is clean and the landscaping lush with hammocks in view of the sea and sunset. Food was great. Staff wonderful. Full ayurvedic spa on property. Daily yoga classes, evening ones outside at sunset. Christmas Eve was fun. It rained hard for a full two hours late in the afternoon and stopped just before the entertainment program with dancing and fireworks was set to start. The thatched cottages are simply furnished, but clean. We all agree that we would go back to this resort. It was a complete getaway. Felt totally relaxed the whole time we were there.
