I have had the good fortune to stay at Arthur homestay several times over the course of 5 years. I go there to surf and enjoy the locals, and i can honestly say that every time has been wonderful, as a small village, ive always been welcomed with warm smiles and conversations. Its incredibly rare, after traveling the world for over 25 years, that the arthur homestead in mapadegat village is ideally located for unwinding and feeling modest. So if anyone makes it there, im sure they are lucky. Will return there again and again. Thank you, mapacegat and arturgy home accommodation.

The location is close to the beach. Also, there is a nice cafe named likat mentawai about ten minutes walk away. You can get good espresso coffee and fresh dishes there. Rinto, the manager, is amazing! He speaks english and always helps people! Negative point is that the surfing boat trip fee is more expensive than i thought.

This place is a very laidback and relaxed place to stay. The staff are very friendly, the owner went above and beyond to make us happy. Awesome waves and the local crew are shredders. I will definitely be back.

The hospitality provided is exceptional, the prices are reasonable, and the view is breathtaking. I will definitely return to this place again!.

Nice guesthouse. The rooms are very basic, it would be great to add shelves like tables or nightstands. There are also few options for hanging things. Otherwise, the guest house is close to the beach and nice restaurants nearby. Renting a scooter is easy. And for the price, its great.

I would definitely stay at this homestay again if i were to return to mentawai in the future! One of the nicest hosts ive ever encountered! A fantastic host and his staff. Although we only stayed for three nights, we would like to stay longer! This location is ideal for short stays or even work from home! Excellent internet access, a spotless bathroom, easy access throughout, and reasonably priced! With the assistance of our hostand his team, they assisted us in surfing, snorkeling, sea urching hunting, fishing, kiteboarding, island hopping, as well as hammocking on pristine, beautiful, remote island. What remarkable experience!.
