Overall, we are very fortunate to have met these wonderful individuals, and we strongly recommend staying or taking the volcano tour with them! Mery and abdi are exceptional hosts with a focus on hospitality. Without their assistance and explanations, we would not have been as sad and perplexed in berastagi. Berastagi city is not particularly welcoming or easy to comprehend upon arrival. However, she immediately assisted us with a handdrawn map, bus explanations, and even ordering food in the local language. She assisted us in getting our laundry dry cleaned and made sure it was delivered to us safely when we moved to another accommodation. Unfortunately, neither of our lovely room with a private bathroom was available for both of our nights. We stayed at their home for the night, and we slept soundly in immaculate accommodations and took part in the sunrise volcano tour with her husband, abdi. The video of this stunning experience is available! His stories and jokes were especially helpful in understanding the area and hearing about life from the local perspective. We also utilized his taxi service, where he assisted us in exploring the surrounding hills of berastagi before we felt prepared to try the bus routes.

This is a lovely homestay in Berastagi, about a 20 min walk along the main road to reach the town centre with the 'cabbage monument'. Nachelle makes incredible homemade pizzas from scratch - a must (if you like pizza)! There's also a water cooler for you to use and fill up your bottle. It's a bit of a hike if you're staying on the top floor, but they help you with your luggage. Nachelle also gives you a very helpful local map, and can help arrange your ongoing transport (e.g. for me it was a tourist taxi from Berastagi to Lake Toba).

Extraordinary service! The hosts, abdy and me, were the kindest people ever! They provided detailed information on the nearby attractions. Abdy took us up the volcano. Additionally, we had complete transportation arrangements organized by us by mady. She even arranged transportation for us in sumatra well after our departure.

Very nice stay here-Merri was incredibly helpful and I cant help but think of wonder woman thinking of her- raising her kids, checking in guests, giving us great recommendations, booking tours, arranging laundry and answering questions all while very happy and friendly. Her kids were cute and friendly too. The floors are immaculately clean, probably a good idea they dont allow shoes! She got up at 4am to provide our breakfast before volcano hike with her husband who was so nice and friendly. She also helped us get a ride to the next area and we were able to share with next couple. They were also very honest and when more expensive room with view was already booked she refunded the difference. Highly recommend!

Très bon séjour à Nachelle Homestay. Plein de bons conseils, le mari nous a amené au volcan à 4h30 du matin pour le lever de soleil puis au source d'eau chaude. Ils sont d'une gentillesse incroyable.

Our host was incredible. She gave us recommendations for where to eat, common phrases to make traveling easier, and a recommended plan for the day. She also checked in after we left to make sure we made it safely to our destination. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Mery is an incredible host. She suggests things to do, provides a map of the city, explains how to use local transport, etc. The views from the rooftop are amazing during sunrise.

We stayed there for two nights. The room was excellent clean with a hot shower. I also enjoyed the nice rooftop with a great view of the sunset over the volcano and the city. This people are very kind, friendly and helpful. Give us a lot of nice recommendations, that was amazing. They give us great tips for local food and a nice route for a volcano trip. I apriciate a lot of help with everything. Breakfast was amazing delicious pancakes with lots of fruit! And good strong real coffee. Thank you for a great stay. I highly recommend choosing this place. You will feel at home.

I heartily endorse nachelle homestay. They assisted us with everything, including the spotless, cozy, hot shower. It was amazing when we took the sunrise volcano tour through them. Mary is fantastic and makes delectable pizza. They even assisted us in arranging a ride to our next destination.

Wisma ini luar biasa, hotelnya sangat bersih, makanannya enak dan Anda merasa seperti di rumah sendiri. Saya dan teman saya, Andy, menginap di Berastagi Hiller Homestay selama dua malam. Apa lagi yang bisa saya katakan kepada Anda untuk Andi dan istrinya Mery? Para wisatawan lain menulis semuanya di sini. Mereka berdua sangat baik, tulus, ramah dan selalu siap membantu. Begitu juga dengan manusia tua mereka dan anak perempuan mereka, rachelle. Kami merasa seperti berada di rumah bersama keluarga kami sendiri, sama sekali tidak ada rasa canggung. By mengirimi saya email pada hari pertama kedatangan kami di Medan agar ia dapat memastikan kami menemukan rumah singgah dengan cara memberitahu pengemudi arah yang tepat menuju tempatnya. Mereka juga menghubungi ponsel kami beberapa kali namun karena jaringan yang buruk, panggilannya tidak terhubung dan saya beruntung karena satu kali menerima telepon dari mery yang meminta kami untuk karena di kota berastagi. Setibanya di sana, kami karena selama kurang dari 5 menit sampai mereka datang menjemput kami dan mengantarkan kami ke rumah singgah. Rumah singgah ini hanya berjarak 2 menit berkendara dari kota, terletak di depan jalan utama berastago kabanjahe, indomaret di sebelahnya minimarket mirip 7 eleven. Cepat di depan tempat ini, kamu dapat menaiki angkutan mini van menuju kota dan tentunya jajaran restoran yang berjarak 1 menit berjalan kaki. Kamar kami berada di lantai dua
