There isn't much choice in Aimere. We had booked through tiket.com for 560,000 IDR. At first, we were shown a room without AC on arrival, which wasn't even finished yet. After lengthy discussions, the nice guy on-site called the owner, and we were given an AC room, which would have cost 400,000 IDR on-site. The room was dark, quite damp, and not particularly cozy. At night, the water cut out. Everything was very basic. For 560,000 IDR, it was clearly overpriced. Breakfast was good, with free filtered water and coffee. The beach is very narrow at high tide, but it's rather unsuitable for swimming due to the waves and currents. Lots of noise from sawing Only two very small windows. No view.

The entire room and the bathroom were very dirty. There were cobwebs and live spiders everywhere. The shower, or rather the shower head, didn't work; there was no pressure at all. I only had cold water and had to shower with a bucket. The towels were of very poor quality and didn't dry at all. There were no mosquito nets; there were large holes and slits everywhere where all sorts of creatures could get in, even under the front door. The next morning the hotel manager wanted to charge me the room again. He claimed he hadn't received any booking. I had actually booked a special rate for an air-conditioned room with a shared bathroom, but I only got the simple fan room. Breakfast was very simple. A bit of bread, two omelets, and tea. Never again, at least Maximum the half Price worth.
