The location is ideal for all activities out of and around Bukit Lawang. The staff are great and make all things easy.

This place is great. It’s in the jungle, so with that, you have to cut some slack. It’s not even on a road, but staff will greet you at the end of the road and carry your luggage to the room for you (and from)! They also helped arrange our ride from Kualanamu (airport in Medan), our jungle trek guide, and our ride to Berestagi. The room has space, and we were able to get wifi and charge our devices. Jungle so a bit more like glamping.

Desi tog imod os på hotellet med stor gæstfrihed, og efterfølgende var kommunikationen med hende i top. Pga en problematik med manglende varmt vand på værelset, blev vi opgraderet til Penthouse lejligheden. Wow!!! Det var en fantastisk mulighed - sikke en udsigt! De 135 trin derop er hele turen værd, så tøv ikke med at booke penthouse, hvis den er ledig.

After a lovely friendly wellcome, i was shown my room - a palace in the tree tops, absolutely divine, so clean, spacious with lots of light coming in. A bed fit for a princess, a super comfy kingsize 4 poster wooden bed with full mosquito net. The bathroom is the best ive ever used. I have enjoyed my stay here , will definitely come back next year. I love being so high up, and with over 100 stairs to climb up to this beautiful palace, i will have very strong legs when i go hone to England!

We had such a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful and the trekking for 3 days and 2 nights they organized was absolutely amazing. The main guide monang was just a blessing. We had very interesting conversations and learned a lot about the orangutans and the country. The cook and the other younger guide were so taking care of us. The food during the trek was perfect, far from the basics. We had a great time and will never forget it.

The staff at the Orangutan Hotel rocks!! Their Orangutan Treking guides certainly live up to their reputation, and I managed to see several Orangutans on my one and only trek into the rainforest..I was later told that many people spend days in the jungle without seeing anything, so I feel very lucky. The hotel has some great views and is located in an excellent spot in relationship to local shops and restaurants.

The rooms are very spacious and clean with a great view! When planning your trip to bukit lamango, this is the place to stay! Had a very good experience in the hotel and the 3 day trekking! The guides take very good care of you and make sure you have a memorable experience and a full belly!.

We had an amazing time at hotel orangutan! We went on a 2day trek, and we saw an abundance of wildlife. We were welcomed like family by everyone we encountered. Would suggest it to anyone. Just be careful, the monkeys will drink your whiskey, so be prepared. Thank you, kasih nels team!.

We had an amazing stay and a jungle trek with hotel orangutang. The staff is very friendly and did a great job during our stay. Our guides on the jungle trek, abri, andre and the chef, were amazing throughout the whole trek. We managed to see 7 orangutangs including a wild male and several closeups a truly amazing experience.

Kami menginap di kamar yang lokasinya di lantai atas, dan perlu semangat ekstra untuk menaiki tangganya. Namun, hal itu sangat sepadan, karena kamarnya bagus dan nyaman. Pagi hari, banyak monyet yang datang. Pemiliknya juga sangat ramah.

Tuan rumah yang sangat ramah sedang menunggu kami di Hotel Orangutan. Hotel ini terletak di pusat kota dan menawarkan pemandangan yang indah. Anda dapat makan enak di hotel (a la carte), tetapi banyak restoran terdekat juga menawarkan makanan enak. Orangutan Hotel mendukung banyak urusan organisasi. Jadi kami dijemput dari Medan dan dibawa ke hotel. Kami menikmati tur hutan 2 hari yang indah dengan pemandu pribadi kami yang hebat, Jerry. Terima kasih! Perjalanan minibus atau transportasi ke Danau Toba juga diselenggarakan. Terima kasih atas surga liburan yang indah ini!

This place is amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had trouble booking a flight online and while we were hiking, the hotel bought a flight for me over the phone and just added coat to our room bill. Above and beyond! The rooms at the top of the hill are a bit of a trek, but its well worth it for the view. The food was really good, especially the tempe and anchovie sambal! And the live entertainment was great!.
