It was nice to see the everyday lives of the Javanese people. However, there were issues with payment. The two couples who used this outfit were charged 300 k per person for transportation and entrance fee. We were each charged 450 kilos. Our tour guide rushed up the mountain and left us behind only to wait in our vehicle expecting a tip (no i didnt tip him off). Other tour guides were very informative and helpful. One cooked sausages over ice at sunset. On the way to the ferry we were informed that transportation cost 100 kek from the train station and the boat. This is somewhat reasonable because rideshare services are very sparse. Gojek quoted 75 kel, but getting to our place was difficult due to steep hills. They change houses frequently and spread money. According to one who organizes this his program assists miners in learning english by being guides or drivers and getting them out of mines. If this is true, thats fantastic, so ive got hesitant to trust what this individual said. Looking at other reviews, it seems like we had an unfortunate experience. I attempted to contact the person who charged us more via email call and text without receiving reassurance. Use our experience as
